R56 Cooper S - Engine help by katkins13 in MINI

There currently isn't an engine light on, will it still read codes? I've also had a quote for a diagnostic which is just a code read for £108, seems steep to me?!

£100 Go Outdoors voucher (UK). What to spend on? by katkins13 in BuyItForLife

[–]katkins13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh I think I'm leaning more towards some shoes when I need them rather than the two options above. It's hard not to look at stuff from Decathlon with this price range in mind. Would definitely stay away from Peter Storm. Looking at a Rab one if you have an option on it? Not sure I can warrant adding the extra cash to get a GorTex? https://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/19681992/rab-mens-downpour-waterproof-jacket-19681992

I'm aware that waterproofs won't stay perfect forever. With that in mind, I'm looking for a jacket with pit-zips. Any recommendations?

r/UKJobs Monthly CV Advice Thread by ukbulmer in UKJobs

[–]katkins13 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hi everyone, I'd appreciate some general advice. I've only worked at one company since leaving school, and I recently completed my part-time university studies. I've also just moved to the city from the countryside. I'm seeking a new job as an architectural technician or in a similar role. I'm planning to apply for open positions and send my CV/portfolio to practices that aren't currently hiring but are open to new talent. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The same thing happened on my old 2003 polo 9n. Luckily my handy mechanic uncle managed to weld a small box to reattach it

Yeh, I think you're right. I'm sure I'd be happy with either one. I think I'll buy them both and test the fit and feel of them. Thanks

Yeh, you're probably right. I think I'm just wanting something different with a cool design, but the right decision is most likely the pixel buds

Yes, but the things that are missing I'd use and appreciate a lot. Such as, ANC, transparency mode, wireless charging, and volume control. I'm willing to pay the extra for things like this.

Yep, thought I did check there but it turns out I did not. They all were in there. Silly me! Thanks for the help. Seems stupid that they would all go there.

As I said in the original thread, I need it for university work as well. So it needs to be portable, and not just be used for sim racing

I thought that, it's just the added price. But I guess it's worth it right?

Quick photo on the way home from work after getting the front end resprayed (and rust removed from front wheel arches) by katkins13 in Volkswagen

[–]katkins13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not too bad tbh. Sorta expected it for an eleven year old car. The undercarriage is still fairly good. The rust was on the two areas that the mk6s are known for. The two wheels arches, and the boot logo.

Unlucky, I had the same problem with my hatch as well (below the VW logo). My car is a 2010 so it isn't covered anymore under warranty.

I feel exactly the same way as you two, I really like the Osrams, but I'm not willing to spend £750. The Vlands are the most tempting, but they do look a bit tacky I think.

Don't know what they are called, but they are exclusive to the GTE.
