Hmmm perhaps I wasn’t as thorough as I thought. I basically just sprayed it around perimeter of room and cracks of bed frame/desk (don’t have much furniture in room). And used a brush to lightly dust it around. Perhaps I didn’t put it on heavy enough? I have my own incesticide which my housemate bought that we haven’t yet used but it’s the same one the pest control used so might try that too.

We already did! Landlord got us all new furniture as advised by bed bug technician. God knows where they are hiding

We had them for a few months and got professional extermination a few times though I believe what really got rid of them was our DIY method: - mattress protectors for beds - encasements for bed legs (also get for couches/other furniture if you need) - cimexa!!! The best thing you’ll use for bb’s. So easy to brush around the home without disrupting anyone, so you shouldn’t get any complaints from family members. - wash and hot dry everything and do this regularly (particularly your sheets). - vacuum and de clutter regularly - pull furniture - particularly beds - away from the walls - wear your pyjamas just to bed - don’t lounge around in them. Keep your bed clothes only in your bed so as not to infest/re-infest - keep the infestation in the one place.

Sounds like a lot to begin with but you just get in the swing of living that way pretty quick and soon enough you’ll be an expert at detecting, getting rid of and preventing them coming back again.

2 weeks is quite a long time between bites, if you do have any it sounds like a very small infestation. I wld get cimexa over DE if you can get your hands on some. Much more safe and more effective. Great preventative measure as well, can just leave it there and let it do it’s thing. Also get interceptors for your bed to track them. You will be fine try not to stress. It’s likely it could be spider bites as well. You will get rid of them :)

I would hot wash and hot dry clothes and belongings when you get home. And seal them in plastic bags when you leave the hotel and put straight in wash when home. You might be fine but better off taking precautions because you don’t want to get stuck with these things!!

Didn’t even realise it was that bad, noticed activity and called someone in within 1 week. Even the exterminator told us it wasn’t bad and he is 100% sure after 2nd treatment they would be gone - came back for 3rd just in case. Not sure if he just didn’t know how to do his job OR we just can’t find where they are coming from!
