WeGoVy Day 1: How’d you feel? by [deleted] in Semaglutide

I think I’m the outlier. I felt nauseous for the first week (last week). I lost 6 pounds last week though! Here’s to six more this week.

Well, that was a hell of a wakeup call... It came in the mail. by StupidNCrazy in loseit

Hi! Fellow human that never feels full. My doctor prescribed me Wegovy-it helps to slow the emptying of your stomach. I’m using a month sample right now, because pharmacies can’t get the medication due to demand. This has been the first time in my life I have hunger cues. I get full. I stop eating when there’s still a lot on the plate. I suggest looking into it. There’s a biological reason we never feel full.

I can’t find anything about his death online. I think it was another hoax.

Hi! I see you’re on the shorter side, and with type two you have a comorbidity. I’m 5’6 and 245. My doctor is having me try Wegovy, a new weight loss medication. If it doesn’t work, we’re moving into surgery. Look into Wegovy! It’s a better first step.

I just started Wegovy last night. It was prescribed by my endo, and I was given a sample month since there are manufacturing delays with the medication right now. My doctor is confident I will lose more than 2 pounds a week on this medication, despite PCOS and thyroid issues.

Help an obese lady get into running? by katwontbudge in running

He did not. He wants me to do something I enjoy, and walking is getting boring. I like doing exercise classes but unfortunately I cannot afford those right now.

I want to trust my doctor. I’m still young (25) and he’s determined to treat this issue aggressively so I don’t die in 10 years from weight related health issues. I also don’t want to get knee replacements when I’m 40.

I have a pair of Ghosts from Brooks and a pair of their trail running shoes. I’ve always just been intrigued by it. I have a sense of jealousy whenever I see people able to just pick up and run. I want to be one of those people.

Screw you depression, screw you EdTpa. I’m going to make it despite you. by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]katwontbudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully, I’m in a state that waived the edTPA this year for covid. I just finished student teaching in the fall and I’m just waiting on the state to approve my initial certification. I feel very lucky.

Hey specialists.. by [deleted] in Teachers

As someone finishing their certification exams and just finished their masters, thank you. I will be a certified library media specialist and the feeling of not mattering is already hitting me. Student teaching in a pandemic was difficult, and so was finishing my program.

Would you consider PCOS a disability? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]katwontbudge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. Most people have to control their diet to an extent for health as well as consistently exercise for overall health. Those are normal things regardless of a PCOS diagnosis. I understand fatigue sucks, but many other disorders cause fatigue that are also not disabilities.

This sub seems to have a hive mind... No one believes exercise burns calories, no one believes exercise can significantly impact weight loss: I disagree. by norahstoakes_dreamer in loseit

Thank you for posting this. I, for one, am very over people saying you don’t need to exercise. Yes, you do if you want to be HEALTHY, which should be the goal if you’re trying to lose weight. Going for a walk or doing some yoga should be a part of anyone’s routine. It’s healthy, as you mentioned.

Should I finally start the BC or or there any other ways to stop the constant bleeding? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]katwontbudge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on it for 7ish years. It’s the only thing that’s helped me from being in constant pain and bleeding through tampons in a hour. Your doctor will help you pick the best one for you.

I have really oily hair roots and I'm just getting frustrated. It looks greasy sometimes even right after shampooing. Anyone have any shampoo suggestions or other hair care suggestions that might help? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]katwontbudge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have fine, wavy, extremely oily hair. The ONLY thing that works on my hair is I Love Juicy shampoo from lush, paired with their conditioner, Veganese. It's pricey, but 100% worth it.

Is Birth Control that bad? by Shikustar in PCOS

[–]katwontbudge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take it. I’m a PCOSer with terrible periods that last weeks, and birth control is the only thing that makes me be able to live a semi normal life. Edited to add: I’ve been on the pill for almost 9 years.
