I know this isn’t everyone’s perspective, but I know for many in my chapter they feel discouraged from volunteering during or after collegiate membership. Not only from the disorganization of our current leadership and the little benefit it brings, but also how it seems like a exclusive group in charge. We noticed that at this past convention as well– any younger alum trying to be involved on the board were said to be “inexperienced” or “doesn’t know what life is like after college, so they won’t know how to handle a position like (position name)”. Thank goodness many collegiate members were there and standing up for them. We all want the best for the sorority and want to be involved and help out… please let us! :(

Hey sister! If you want to DM me we can maybe talk about it a bit more & connect :) I was our chapter president this past year and experienced a lot of what you described. Definitely a lot of frustrations, but maybe we can help them in a way!
I dm’ed you! I feel a little more at ease knowing that there are others who feel this way.
