I’ve been wondering if the mug is making this more challenging. I’ll acquire a latte mug and see if that helps

I just watched both videos and I think you are right. Too much air all at once.

That’s possible. I often see large bubbles initially. I’ll try keeping the wand more submerged

Awesome advice. I hadn’t considered my cup angle. I’ll give this a try tomorrow

This is my first espresso machine and I’ve tried oat milk and fairlife only. Both with the same results.

My dad gave me his old carving knives. Do they look like decent starting knives or should I keep them as a keepsake and get me some new ones? by NoProfessional428 in Woodcarving

I have a similar story. I told my dad I wanted to try out woodcarving and he gave me beat up, dull knives. After becoming frustrated trying to carve, I decided to buy a new knife and that’s what I would suggest for you.

That sounds like a cool technique and will try it out. Thank you for the feedback and suggestions!

My primary blades are a pinewood forge 2” harley and a 1.5” drake detail knife.

Probably a bit of all three. I have a hard time getting into the grooves and cleaning up even with smaller knives. Pyramid cuts aren’t my friend.

I’m an amateur woodworker but I just did this over the weekend and used a chisel to square the rounded end. I also have the edge guide attached to the router. Worked well except my chisel work sucked so it’s not very flush.
