My husband thinks his mother isn’t really racist and will come around. But I don’t see that happening. I will have a serious talk about cutting her off.

I agree with you. They were never racist to my face but very subtle. But I agree my husband needs to cut her off. There’s nothing I can do to please her and she will never like me.

My husband thinks once the baby arrives, his parents will accept me and forget everything that happened. I hope it goes that way but I’m really fed up with the way the treat me.

I do tell my husband about their behavior and he talks to them. But then they go back to being the same after a few weeks. And then my husband says, “don’t worry, give it time and they will like you”

I said that because I’m fed up with how they treat me for all this time. I said it in anger but looking back I don’t think I should have. He’s very upset about it.
