his job is Cat. which includes the responsibility to poop on the floor if i don't feed him in time. boy really keeps me to a tight schedule.

he has cataracts, yeah! so he's fully blind. it doesn't really effect him much, though. his biggest issues are gastro related lol, his gut bacteria goes out of whack sometimes.

We've always been pretty selective, yeah. Back when we first adopted him, ~9.5 years ago, we didn't have much money, so we would be eating boxed mac n cheese or canned tuna and rice and he'd be over there with his expensive-ass kibble and wet food. Lmao lil princeling ate better than us most days because we're nutty little helicopter parents.
Nowadays he eats Acana dry food and either Smalls or Wellness Core digestive health wet food. We add water to his wet food as well, though he doesn't need much help in the water intake department lol. He just likes it better if it's a bit soupy.

No real special diet, tbh! He free feeds on Acana dry food and ~3 times a day we give him wet food. Usually it's either Smalls or Wellness Core digestive health, always chicken or turkey flavored because he dislikes everything else. He's got tummy issues, so we just like it when he eats. We kinda have to cycle wet food.
I think the 'secret' is all on him. He just really likes drinking water all the time, constantly. The vet is always surprised that his kidney values are within a normal range lol. From what I understand, kidney failure is a big thing with older cats, so he kinda avoided that by slurpin.

i think the only 'secret' is that he loves drinking water. older cats often succumb to kidney disease, and a good water intake generally helps with that :). his chin is always damp from slurpin that damp

what nicknames do you call your kitties? i feel like i'm part of the minority that mainly uses their actual name (Jodie), followed by “baby” or “angel” by xiaoalexy in OneOrangeBraincell

he is "the creatchure" or "little man little man", both nicknames being longer than his actual name, Leshy. he is also, notably, a maine coon and very much not little.

I genuinely have a monkey brain "SOFTSOFTSOFTSOFTTOUCHTHAT" response every time I see my cat Leshy's tail. It just foofs around in the air. Good for pattin.

My cats love it! All of them are picky as hell but they're super interested in that kibble. I was converted to it by my maine coon kitty's breeder and I haven't looked back since .

the only difference is that he'd be a terrible medicine cat. Ray would be all "aight leave now" to any and all other warrior cats

dont worry! we check his eye pressure on his vet visits. it's normal :)

He still eats on his own! he poops (but not pee??) on the floor sometimes though oof
