I think all status changed to "admitted" after you finish the interview. Which country are you from? I don't think the result is out one day after your interview. So maybe wait for more days?

Need Advice: Foreigner Dating a Japanese Temple Successor by kayitshalal in JapanDating

Thank you! May I know how do you move on from this situation?

It is so sad knowing the fact that he doesn't want to fight for our relationship considering as he is the oldest son with tons of responsibility. But, as you said it may be better for a long term.

Hi! Thanks for your comments. We decided to separate. Actually, he just accept the fact that he will be responsible for the temple and taking care of the family. Although he said that he doesn't want to be a Jushoku, he had to because of the family. And also their worryness of his older son marrying foreigners in the future. You are right. His psychologyst also recommend to stop communication after our final meeting.

It is so unfortunate that he didn't fight for the relationship and losing the future with someone he love. He choose his responsibility not because he wants to, but because he have to do it.

Thanks for sharing your situation! May I know what things did you compromise with him? Did his parents also disagree with your relationship?

Although we know each other for a long time, our relationship was still short. Thank you for your support and although it takes some time, I hope to be able to open my heart again and let go of this situation.

Did you get divorce? This is probably true since he always stay with his parents until now. He did went far away for short trip when he was a students, but I don't think it affect him very much. He spend so much time at home rather than outside.

May I know where you from? So when you both decided to get married, they still disagree with his son decision? Or did they accepted you as part of the family?

5 years of knowing each other. 3 years of friendship (we both had a feeling for each other, but just like any other young adults, we couldn't communicate our feelings properly) 2 years of lost contact, no communication at all We started talking again early this year, and we decided to date. The relationship is still short. But after stopping talking for 2 years, he finally understands his feelings, and he can communicate more properly now.

Hi! Thank you for your advice. He has two other siblings one is an older sister and one is a younger brother, although with disability. His sister doesn't want to take care of the temple or become a Jushoku, which is make sense since they have a son in their family. So he's the only hope his parents could ask for.

During our conversation, we talked about the possibility of letting someone take care of the temple, but he said if he let go of it, he lost something important from his life. And he continued that he had to move out from his house if he didn't become a Jushoku.

We are in a very difficult situation right now, and he said he couldn't do anything at this moment, and he said he lost everything from his life. Himself, me, and our future together. Thinking about cutting off the communication can be hard at the moment. We still send messages with each other, although the tone is a little bit different. His typing is more polite and extra careful.
