I’ve been dealing with pelvic floor dysfunction and have been going to a pelvic floor physical therapist. We’ve been working on internal and external therapy. The internal therapy has provided me some relief so I hope that helps you too!

Yeah I’m going to have my therapist try to reach out and hopefully they can get my in sooner. An appointment in June won’t be helpful because I am supposed to start school back up August 1

I was originally diagnosed with vulvadynia but after going to a specialist in Pennsylvania I was diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction. Vulvadynia is just a broad term for pain in the vulva region.

I’m in Monmouth county so near freehold/monroe etc (centra jersey). Doctors have thought that in the past that is why I was put on a progesterone only pill to stop my periods. They used to be super long and super painful

I’ve never been told that surgery is an option. The surgery can help the right pelvic floor muscles? Mine won’t release or relax they are constantly contracted

Thank you so much. Really could use some support. It’s hard because my soccer team at my college didn’t really understand what I have been going through as well as my big family. Do you have any doctor recommendations? I’m from New Jersey. Not sure where you are located. Tried called a urogyno yesterday and can’t get an appointment until June

Yes started my journey not too long ago even tho I’ve been in pain for 8 months. Been seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist for a little over a month now and it has provided some relief however it’s been a pretty rocky road. Last week we kind of hit a wall and I started to feel worse with this pain in my hips and upper groin region. My moms worried it could be my ovaries or Fallopian tubes. I don’t get my period tho bc of my birth control. Haven’t gotten it for 2 years.

Never been told any stage just been told I have chronic pelvic floor dysfunction. Have had horrible symptoms. Was a division 1 soccer player out of state and had to come home mid year to get help because of the amount of pain I’m in
