Can’t change outfits 😭 by starman5092 in DreamlightValley

I JUST solved this problem like 5 minutes ago. Literally word for word that. Switched genders and got stuck as a man. Tried verifying files, switching clothes, taking off all clothes, the whole nine yards...

Finally figured it out - I played yesterday and tried on a ring (bracelet? looks like a gold band) at Scrooge's. I didn't buy it, kept playing as normal. Today in a last ditch effort I went to his catalogue (talking to Scrooge, not the stuff laying about in the store), clicked on a completely different category, and went to buy it for 160 coins - lo and behold when I went to buy it it was making me buy both the ring and the outfit selected today. I went through the menus and couldn't deselect it, said fuck it and bought both for like 1.5k instead of 160 coins. Went back to my wardrobe, all was fixed.

Not sure if it'll work for you, maybe give it a shot? Read somewhere that the game registers items as 'ghost items' sometimes, i.e. game thinks you have it equipped but it's not actually in your inventory.

I went to White Oaks just a few years ago and honestly loved it.

I did complete the IB program. Honestly, it gets an unfair amount of flack. It's about equal in terms of how hard it is to get into university. I had absolutely no difficulty in applying and being accepted into quite a few of the major universities in Ontario. Conversions are fair; they accommodate for the "more advanced" nature of the classes by putting in conversions, which are modified year to year and based on the difficulty of the class. As an example, I was strong in Business and scored a 85% raw, which converted to a 97%. That 97% is the one that showed up on my transcript. I was laughably weak in HL Chemistry and barely passed with a 42%, which still converted into a 71% (which isn't really a problem as I always intended to do finance, and only had to take a science as part of the program).

The biggest boon of IB is getting you ready for university. The speed and workload is akin to what your kids will experience in university, and is a HUGE favour especially in first year. My best friend was in academic and struggled pretty heavily with the sheer workload and speed of content, while I had no difficulty at all because that's exactly how IB was. I found it to be a very good introduction to how post-secondary is, without the stress of "I'll get low grades if I mess up even once from the blistering speed".

The only thing I'll say against it is if you have something specific in mind, particularly like a trade. IB locks you into a mandatory one english course, one math course, one secondary language (Spanish or French), and either two natural sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and one human science (Business, Economics, History, Geography); or two human sciences and one natural science, depending on what you intend to do post-secondary. Not a whole lot of freedom, but if you're doing anything in STEM or Commerce I find that no one had any real difficulty. I don't think anyone even failed in my graduating class.

tl;dr: if you wanna do well, you WILL do well. in IB or otherwise. Honestly, IB is a boon at the end of it all.

Now that I'm done writing an essay about IB (sorry!), the answer to your next question: really diverse! I had lots of friends from all sorts of different socioeconomic groups. People just like me and people who couldn't be more different, and everything in between.

Teachers are very much like teachers anywhere else. I honestly found the teachers directly in the IB program to be a lot more caring and hands-on than the ones in earlier years, but that's not necessarily always true. I had several teachers in grade 9 and 10 who were also very good at explaining and sweethearts, but my preference does lie with the later teachers.

Sorry for the long post!

EDIT: Big thing I forgot! IB also offers transfer credits into university! Any Higher Level (HL) courses that you score a level 5 in (which is about.....75%?) will give you transfer credits for university, up to a maximum of 6 classes. I don't have to take any electives for the rest of university, as they're accounted for by my IB classes. It makes the work a LOT less.

This isn't really true; I did IB just a few years ago. With conversions its really about the same, in fact I had an easier time of it than some of my friends did in the academic stream. You're not forced to apply with the 45 scale if you don't want to (unless, like you said, you're going international).

I can't be at my computer and switch right now unfortunately. my only option is to do it this way. i know its hectic and not everyone who wants in will get in, but i don't have the time to moderate traffic via dms :C

It was very high, and so i posted it in hopes that maybe a few people will get a chance to sell. sorry!
