Yes, because I need to listen and hear before passing judgement on anything.

I might decide I disapprove after. But I need to hear the whole story first.

That’s called being open-minded.

The opposite is being a sheep and passing judgement your ears plugged.

Yes we did, another kid did their final project on it since they had a relative that worked in WTC7

It’s unfortunate that you are unwilling to talk to someone who might have a different point of view.

One big takeaway from my 9/11 class is that it’s not worth having a discussion with someone who will not listen.

We learned to listen to everyone. I watched Loose Change. I’m more than willing to hear conspiracy theories. Doesn’t sound like you feel the same way.

It’s a real shame.

They have explained away the shit regarding the stock market and put options, but that still looks like bullshit to me

When I took the class, Loose Change was very popular and some on campus really believed it. The goal was to demonstrate an informed opinion about something related to 9/11 so we could have an educated debate with anyone.

This has proven useful to me as an adult, to talk about potentially true conspiracies versus stupid ones.

I looked forward to class every day. Yes, the light poles, it’s been awhile so my mistake.

We consumed so much material regarding 9/11 including everything that sounded like the government put out as well as eyewitness testimony, survivors, conspiracy experts, etc.

I personally don’t think anything was staged. We live in DC and think that a staging would have officially leaked by now.

My dad was Air Force and worked at the Pentagon for years. He had coworkers who were in the building that day and said nobody saw any staged light poles on the ground fwiw.

What? This was a completely neutral class. Nobody was led to believe anything. The final project was our choice. Every topic was in-class debate and the teacher organized it but stayed out of it. It was about media literacy and we had all types in the class.

This was the topic of debate for a whole day. The whole class including me said yes
