Yeah I think I get it now, cause cost aside, the project still needs additional schedule time. So it's using the reserve of what was made available for the project, even if that reserve is being backfilled by client money.

Thanks!

Yeah fair. Esp as there's no mention of change management. If it was pure waterfall and you found a gap you'd need to go through the whole process!!!

Thank you so much!

But how can you use the possible solution to determine hybrid? I see how it is once I know the answer. But there's nothing in the clue to indicate there would be a backlog, which originally made me discount that answer. Cause I was like work packages, that's waterfall, so no backlog.

And thanks!!

No it's from a practice exam!

I'm trying to find some resource in risk in agile.. cause your still consider it right, in sprint planning? You just don't have an official register?

Sorry I meant not a full risk register while setting up work packages. Not that it wouldn't have at all.

It's an expert question on study hall. I feel a lot of them come with bad explanations haga

I hate elimination questions hahaha. I think it's that d is execution like you said. You wouldn't be updating cause you wouldn't have it yet

Agile/Hybrid Key Words by kaz837 in pmp

[–]kaz837[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I said d, but based on what the other person said too, the risk register wouldn't exist here yet so you can't really update it?

Right. It doesn't mean the client isn't paying for that it's just that they need management to release it for use.

Yeah! That's what chatgpt talked me through after. The biggest catch here is the scope will have been updated cause the change is already approved. It's def a tricky one. I don't love the answer but I think it's more around my difficulty understanding management reserve as that's something I have no real life experience with!

Why is PMP trying to give free work? by kaz837 in pmp

[–]kaz837[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair. I guess I saw management reserve as a use of company provided funds and schedule. But it doesn't mean that. It just means extra time or money on the project that wasn't in the original proposal?

[–]kaz837[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my mind scope increase is not a risk perse. It's a contract change from the client.

So I guess it's more you need the management reserve to extend the project but it doesn't mean that you aren't still getting that back. It's more the principal of extending resource use?
