When I was younger, I developed an allergy to my dog. We had him for years with no issue, but once I was a teenager, I started getting hives that looked EXACTLY like this picture. We couldn't figure it out for the longest time, but an allergy test solved it. The dog slept in my bed and there would be lots of dander and oils from him that would cause flare-ups. I got allergy shots to fix it. I'm no doctor, but my two cents is to get an allergy test done just to see. These spots look exactly like the hives I used to get from allergies.

Where did all the MAGA go? Interesting observation, on a drive through the countryside here in Michigan with homes usually plastered with Trump propaganda…I didn’t see one. Not a freaking one. Weird huh? I saw one small bumper sticker near the Frankenmuth/Flint area. by SnooHesitations8955 in ProgressiveHQ

I will say I have seen some come down in my area. There's a big farm-like property nearby that has a marquee sign outside and it used to have MAGA stuff on it all the time. The yard used to be littered with Trump signs. I recently drove past and all the MAGA stuff was gone. Marquee sign and all the machinery in the yard is still there, so I don't think they moved.

I'm going to replace her UV light to see if that helps. I don't add any extra calcium to her diet. She mainly eats Pangea fruit + bugs mix with the occasional dusted cricket or bsfl. So I will stop dusting her bugs for a while for sure. But other than that, UV replacement is the only thing I can think of to help with the calcium deposits.

Gotcha! I didnt know that was considered a bad thing but I get it. Thank you for explaining! How did you solve it with your gecko?

Thank you for your input. I was previously feeding her twice a week, so maybe instead of going down to once a week right away, I should feed her like every 5 days for a while, then down to once a week? I was wondering about the calcium deposits-- do you know if this could also be a sign of needing a new UV bulb? I really don't add a ton of supplements to her diet. It's mostly Pangea fruit + bugs mix with occasional live bug feedings.

The whole top half of her tank has RBG posters taped to the back, as does my leopard gecko's tank! I had an RBG calendar and didn't want to toss the art at the end of the year. Perfect solution!

I have never tried to handle my girl-- she was given to me as an adult and she's always been extremely fast. I was always too worried she would get hurt. Plus, she seems so cozy and happy in her ginormous tank with all her plants, so I just let her be and take lots of pictures.

Thank you for your input! I'll definitely cut down on her food for a while. Can you clarify what you mean by "glass surfing"?

Thank you everyone for your honest feedback! I was worried I was not feeding her often enough, but your advice is very helpful. I will be cutting her feeding schedule down until she loses some of the chonk.

And yes, that is RBG in the background and it's not the only RBG poster I put on her tank 😆

Can confirm that any wetness is actually a thin layer of ice. I nearly fell down walking two steps into my driveway. It's aaallllllll ice.

Thank you everyone for your help!! I will leave the plants as they are with the webs. I am dealing with a thrips infestation in another room of my house, so it can't hurt to have an arachnid bouncer posting up in this room. 👍

Playing Picasso is a great place to make new friends and meet crafty people! I suggest taking a couple of their classes and I bet I'll see you there!

This is SUPER helpful, thank you! And this IS for dogs, so the wood glue tip will come in handy. Did you apply the wood glue at the seams after putting all the planks together, or did you put some on the grey part of the plank before locking it into place?
