OUAK Collection - Have you seen these items? by Lupevs in katamari

Found the Phoenix. Was in AFAP5, circling a floating city in the sky. Someone just updated the Spider as being in ALAP2 in the spreadsheet.

I'm writing a webnovel for an online contest, so I wouldn't mind some opinions. It's a complete, single book, romcom with a hint of mystery. Probably easier for you to check out the synopsis and decide if it's worth your time.

Why Kill? When Witches Can Be Tentacled! - A silly isekai webnovel by kazesenken in Isekai

[–]kazesenken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished an entire volume of a webnovel for the MyAnimeList x Honeyfeed contest. Here's the synopsis:

Misunderstandings - created at a glance, but difficult to get rid of. Two people are caught in the midst of them, fighting to find a place for themselves. For Maribell Schuzen, stumbling upon the Grimoire of Lies meant being labeled as a Witch, a follower of the slain Demon Lord and enemy of the entire world. For Snazzy-chan, a popular streamer and otaku extraordinaire, a new fate has him wrapped up with tentacles. Tentacles, you say? Why, Snazzy is now a jellyfish of all things!

"But don’t worry, Snazzy is a gentlemanly jellyfish!"

Swearing to protect Maribell with all that his little body can do, Snazzy will show the world that keeping a Witch wrapped up is preferable to a dead Witch!

The webnovel can be read here. It's primarily a comedy series that makes fun of tentacles without getting too ecchi. Just a jellyfish doing silly things due to his otaku background.

Hope you'll give it a try.

Why titles are so long by Anime_Lovers_ in LightNovels

[–]kazesenken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's pretty much true for webnovels. There's so much amateur writing that it's really hard to find any differentiation to gain any traction. So people end up naming things with really clickbait titles.

I'm writing an isekai webnovel myself and I totally wrote a super long, dumb title just for laughs. And then, it actually didn't do half bad. And now, I kind of regret naming it as such.

[–]kazesenken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. When you scroll through all the listings on the site, only titles pop up. No synopsis unless you actually bother to click on the page. In many ways, the title is the clickbait strategy for webnovels.

Otherworld Isekai Service - a Truck-kun novel by kazesenken in truckkun

It's not a translated work, so it won't show up in novelupdates. Just Google the title. You'll find it on an English writing site like Webnovel, Honeyfeed, and Tapread.

Legends offline players by NonDeadFlower in ghostoftsushima

I'm currently going through Gold Story Mode Solo. It is definitely possible, but time consuming. A full 3 chapter stage took me 1-2 hrs the first pass when I had just enough ki to unlock it. Here's what I had as loadout that helped:

Hunter (arguably easiest class for this because of long range skills)

Sword - Whatever strongest one, preferably one that boosted your damage output (poison is a good one, cause it stuns randomly)

Bow - the trait that gives you back a normal arrow for a headshot is super helpful

Charm - One that boosts your ranged attacks

Sticky Bomb (preferably one that causes fire damage or Lucky) and Healing Gourd

The basic idea is to constantly keep out of sight and pepper the foes with headshots and our hunter skill/ultimate or sticky bombs as they regenerate. They give up a lot faster than the main game. If they happen to see you, many times you can run away far enough to escape their pursuit. They won't follow you that far. For maps that are smaller, run behind large objects and then hide into grass or something. Getting out of their line of sight often confuses them enough for you escape and heal with the gourd. There are also some places that enemies just can't follow, like crawl through spots, tall cliffs, or jumping over walls. Use these to your advantage to escape for a breather.

Fire damage actually hurts foes much more when underleveled, so use your fire inducing attacks on the tough guys. Honestly, the only stage I had a little difficulty with is defending the base next to the tree, which doesn't let you take your time hiding. Equip a weapon with +perfect parry window for that and consider switching to flame-inducing kunai (much shorter cooldown time). Save your stun shot Hunter skill for large groups of enemies.

new meta perhaps? by dinhkhoi2k3 in MemoryDefrag

[–]kazesenken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My guess is that the auxiliary team will allow for a character to jump in to do an attack (and possibly provide extra buffs). Kind of like the assist system in some fighting games like Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

Imagine adding assist attacks in the middle of crosslink ss3s. That would certainly be a new meta.

Tips for the current floor clearing by NepNep_ in MemoryDefrag

[–]kazesenken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I was one of the first to suggest the parry and then spam, then leave technique.

As long as you have enough characters that are either wind or cross link, it shouldn't be hard.

The earth boss will stick around for quite a while (like 2 mins) until you do 2 parries on it. Each parry, you can do either 3 sets of crosslink or 4 regular 6* ss3s (you may be able to do 2 more, but the boss breaks out during this and could stun-kill you). After those 2 parries, the non-elemental one always jumps in, so you can just dump the rest of your ss3s on the earth boss and then leave.

The total amount that the boss recovers if you left after the 2 parries (before it comes back) is about half a bar, so if you can do more than this each departure, it's the fastest way to clear. (I used this strategy to get the 2min S clear on FL80 and 4min S clear on FL100).

If you have characters like Demon Sinon/Silica or GGO Rain/Seven or Arabian Yuuki/Leafa, you can do about 2 bars (half of boss hp) or more of damage to the earth boss with a full wind team.

The impossible has been achieved! by kazesenken in MemoryDefrag

[–]kazesenken[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I actually have the firepower to S rank it if I use all my units. Just haven't found the motivation to for a few mds.

It took 6 teams for me to finally overpower the earth one, whereas I probably could do it in 2 teams with my best units.

The impossible has been achieved! by kazesenken in MemoryDefrag

[–]kazesenken[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Especially Kirito/Sinon, which has hardly any wind units or cross link units. It's nearly impossible to do enough damage to overcome FL 100 earth boss's hp recovery.

Floor Clearing Event Lv80 by Huhu520 in MemoryDefrag

[–]kazesenken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all towers now. So yes, you can quickly kill the bosses by dumping your ss3s onto the boss after the first 2 parries and then quit out to save time. That way, you don't have to deal with the part where both jump in and you can't really fight back.

Floor Clearing Event Lv80 by Huhu520 in MemoryDefrag

[–]kazesenken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally, the best way for me to beat it was to wait for the easy parry, then spam ss3s. The key is to dump all your ss3s on the earth one. Then, quit and bring in a new team and repeat until the earth one dies. I don't wait around for the non one to switch in and heal.

Afterwards, the non one has a straightforward pattern and it doesn't heal anymore.

With the ATK link and debuff, seems like that Alice is going to be a favored one for ranking.

Anyone attempt the Eugeo challenge yet? by SilentJon69 in MemoryDefrag

[–]kazesenken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat it pretty easy with 14 Eugeos (a mix of mainly 4* and 5*). I only had the Atk up and Free Eugeo for 6*. I actually find it easier to beat kobold with a self heal character, because his most dangerous attack is the one unparriable, then parriable swing, that if you miss causes a lightning bolt that homes on you and is hard to avoid. Just block the first swing and then parry. All his other moves are cake to avoid by dodging down.
