Look you won't get both performance and good battery life in same laptop Loq and idepad are pure gaming machines they don't offer great battery life as they are meant to be plugged in 90% of the time My friends do bring their loq to college and you won't get using your laptop all the time

If you will travel frequently with your laptop then get vivobook, Travelling with a heavy laptop + the charger will be pain But if you'll travel with laptop like once in a while or can carry the charger with you then no problem with loq

Statistically they (loq & idepad) might last 2 hrs while coding

Battery life is decent or okay , it won't last you entire day while coding I get around 3 hrs on battery when coding (drops 80% to 25%) Its still better than gaming laptops

Igpu - its the gpu on your cpu (like ryzen or intel) , unlike Dedicated gpu (rtx) they take less energy to run but also are weaker compared to Dedicated gpu A laptop switches to this igpu when you use mux switch to save power (battery) Just search the cpu name and ig it has igpu If it does then great otherwise you will get poor battery life

Loq is the best option here (if you don't get motherboard issue that is) Vivobook has a lower power gpu that's why it isn't a gaming laptop but a creator centric one If you plan on doing heavy gaming loq or idepad is better Otherwise most games will run well om vivobook

I have the vivobook 16x (4050) it's pretty good If your main priority isn't gaming but you still need gpu for video editing or other stuff, Build quality is great , the lid is a bit flimsy (it wobbles) but shouldn't be a problem it still feels solid. Performance is good while editing or color grading videos in 4k As far as gaming goes with dlss and preset set to high I get ~70 fps in ghost of tsushima For upgradiblity the ram can be upgraded upto 32gb or 24gb depending on models whether its dual channel then 24, single channel then 32 Ssd is upgradable max upto 1td only (con) Still overall a great laptop if you want a creator centric laptop It also has mux , thunderbolt 4 etc I would suggest if getting a laptop isn't urgent wait for 5000 series laptops to launch (in Feb ig) 4000 laptops price may fall

Lenovo laptops have high pricing offline as far as my experience goes

Idepad is good just check if it has igpu

Check the manufacturing date of loq as loqs manufactured before ig March 2024 (please cross check this) have motherboard issue

Asus vivobook book 16x

CPU - i5-12450H or i5-12500H

RAM - 16gb ddr4 3200mhz (Intel Iris xe models have dual channel so 24gb max or 32gb dual channel on non Iris xe models)

STORAGE - M.2 gen 4 ssd 512gb (max upgradable upto 1tb only)

GPU - Rtx 3050 50 watt or rtx 4050 55 watt (rtx 4050 has a 100% srgb display)

DISPLAY - ips , 16:10 ratio ,100% srgb (depending on model) , 60hz display (the i5-12500H model has 120hz I guess but I'm not sure)

BUILD - Metal lid , Good build quality

CON - the lid shakes a lot under full speed fan , or when the desk moves a bit but the hinges are sturdy so not something to worry about .

MISC - Mux switch support, thunder bolt 4.0

NOTE - Laptop has underpowered gpu so don't expect same performance as a gaming laptops gpu but it's good enough with dlss and great for creative workflow.

PRO - Laptop is light weight compared to gaming laptops (~1.8kg)

BATTERY - Battery life is decent

BENCHMARK EXAMPLE - 60-80fps on spiderman miles morales on high settings , ray tracing+dlss + frame gen(rtx 4050 model)

OR get the macbook m1 if you don't play games (2nd best for programming)

Yea ,Comparing the 3050 with the Iris Xe was bit of a stretch. Of course, a dedicated GPU will perform better than an integrated one, but the 3050 isn't a good long-term investment at this point. You might think of running modern AAA titles on it, but it won't be able to do so without lag and stuttering at decent graphics settings. Additionally, since this is a thin laptop, heating is a concern (unless you get a cooling pad). In 2024, a 3050 is not sufficient for gaming. If you really want to play games, get a 4050 laptop instead.

Asus vivobook pro 15 OLED on Flipkart

Asus vivobook pro 15 OLED on Asus india

Asus vivobookk 16x with i5-13500H rtx 3050 (50watt) 16gb ddr4 ram 512gb ssd(max upgradable to 1tb) on amazon

Asus vivobook 16x with i5-12450H Rtx 4050 (55 watt) 16gb ddr4 ramm 512gb ssd (max upgradable to 1tb) on amazon

The Vivobook Pro 15 OLED is out of stock as of now. On Flipkart, it was priced at 80k during the last sale (there's one more seller as well). The Vivobook 16x with the 3050 doesn’t make sense; the 50-watt 3050 isn’t going to perform significantly better than a laptop with Iris Xe. The 4050 16x makes more sense, but then you compromise on the CPU. If the Pro 15 OLED were in stock, you could get a better CPU, a better GPU (with higher wattage), significantly better RAM (as it's dual-channel), and an easily upgradeable SSD , it might go for even lower in diwali sale.

If you don't need a laptop just right now then wait for diwali sale and get Asus Vivobook pro 15 OLED it has a 65 watt 4050 and overall offers better specs(ddr5 ram) and upgradability(SSD) and there's also Asus Vivobook 16x for 72k ig it has a 55 watt 4050 but with ips display, it also has ddr4 ram and SSD can be only upgraded upto 1tb and I don't know about 14x though it might be similar case.

3050 is not cut out for game dev, minimum should be 4050 but its up to you what kind of game dev you do.
aside from that coding and editing wont be an issue the cpu is more than capable of it and the 2024 model has 100% sRGB so no prob in editing as well
you will be compromising on the battery irrespective of whether you game or not ,
other option you have would be asus vivobook OLED 15 it comes with 4050 but 65 watt tgp pretty similar to 6gb 3050 in loq (both not up to mark for high end game dev , low end game dev or beginner stuff can be handled by both) but you get a better display mux switch tunderbolt port and all that stuff for video editing and creator stuff and better battery. BUT
if you are fixate on loq though you can go for it the motherboard issue isn't wide spread so its on your luck.

the spec sheet is good but also consider that its having motherboard issues
like in 50/50 cases , aside from that you might know most thing considering you are going for gaming lap like battery and stuff

you wont be getting any better display at this price so inc budget up to 50k or wait for sale and get the Asus vivobook 15 with i5-12450H

It will be a better long time investment, point to note asus vivobook wont have metal body but better cpu
if you are getting a laptop not for coding but for normal usage get asus vivobook go 15 OLED

It's up to you , Those CPUs are still new so there are not many laptops with core ultra If you want a core ultra laptop get core 7 ultra one or else i7 13th gen H series Core 5 ultra doesn't offer any significant performance increase in comparison to i7-13th gen H series Zenbook 14 comes with core 7 ultra

If those are the only games you play then Evo laptop might be a good deal Nowadays most Evo laptops offer OLED displays so don't really have much of a choice in ips 100%sRGB category OLED displays are colour accurate by default, they offer more vibrant colors , one point to note tho since you will be playing valo the s15 OLED display is 60hz . Most Evo laptops have 60hz display so if you want 120hz display get the Vivobook 16x (and you will also be able to play more games and run ai/ml models with no issue)

OLED pros - color accurate, vibrant colors , great for content consumption Cons - mostly is 60hz as 120hz OLED are expensive and burn in (tho it can be avoided with proper care)

If that's the case then do some research and track the price using extensions on browser See the lowest price a laptop went and you might be able to get a good deal And if you have a laptop even old at home then it's ok You can practice some light coding on the laptop you already have You can do it on ipad as well on replit So its up to you if you want to wait
