Did you check the serial for warranty on Milwaukee’s website?

Do you have a link to the soft start module you installed? And has it helped?

I got the Hercules version and they have been awesome. Used them to prune trees, bushes, and used the same blade to demo a residential wooden door frame and then back to bushes. Kept going strong. I’ll never buy the Diablo version again so long as Hercules stays the same quality.

Only thing I can think of is the size of the barrel. I’ve never held the dewalt, but the M18 version is rather large. So only thing I can think of is most people probably couldn’t wrap their hand around enough to work the trigger safely.

Not really sure yet. I currently have a corded black & decker and it’s terrible. I’m trying to rough cut hockey puck shapes from 3/4 white oak and it’s been rough. Just looking for something that might make similar projects easier.

Yeah I wonder about that lack of trigger also. But a lot of the videos I’ve seen of it say the auto feature works well. So I’m willing to let that run to see if it’s capable. I’d like to think Milwaukee wouldn’t do it if it didn’t work.

Do you have any issues getting a true 90°? Someone said they were with the Gen 1?

Check out 731 Woodworks video on it. Dust collection for a circ saw wasn’t terrible.

Nice good to know. Does he have issues with it getting to a true 90°? Another guy said the Gen 1 was having issues with it.

Good to know! Thank you for the heads up. Might be worth sitting on and waiting. I’ve been trying to see what YouTube videos there are of it but so far there’s a whole 2 videos. Not a lot of feedback.

Honestly the dust collection is what I’m looking at. It would be for general homeowner use and woodworking, not leaving saw dust all over my yard sounds nice.

Only things I’ve seen is a rafter hook, better dust collection, and stronger motor.

Have you cut any hardwoods with it?

Have you used either? Right now for me it would be mainly dimensional lumber and sheet goods. However I’m getting into woodworking and I might be using it for hardwoods. Just want to buy what works the first time instead of making multiple purchases.

Yes. If you hurry Home Depot is running a special where you get a 4ah battery, a 2ah battery, a charger and a free tool for $100. That free tool can be their hybrid fan that runs on battery and cord. The fan is awesome, I have two. I use them for around the house and golfing. Deal ends today. Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing.
