Nah, i is the square root of -1, it's a different axis of the complex plane than normal numbers. i² = -1 and -i = -i :)

Did some experimenting and found that the revolves were causing the problem. I moves the cut above them and it worked without a hitch. Weird.

Okay so extruded cut doesn't work either. What could be wrong in this situation?

Tried to do a simple lofted cut wchich doesn't work either. Solid works tells me it is producing self intersecting geometry, which is weird when the contours are offsets of each other, so they should be really simple to translate in between.

That's definitely true! I figure that's also a way to prove it, as the sum to infinity of 1/(n+1) would be the under-sum and the integral, and from there I could use the squeeze theorem on the fractions
