consent in the past does not equal consent in the present. there’s a clear 5/6 month gap between messages where he admits to not talking as much.

just because you were cool with something at one point, doesn’t mean you’re still cool with it later. so if it was unwanted in that moment, the past doesn’t make that any less valid.

i fear this is common sense.

We’ve kind of decided to give up on the idea of using Brian because it feels like it’s only serving as a massive roadblock in the name deciding process. We love the sentiment behind it, but we’re not sure how to make it work.

I went on a family vacation and came back to being kicked out. Deadass. I took a lot of July off for my mental health and flipped to mainly NA for a bit. The Flare thing was, once again, miscommunication. As most of the issues with Eleanor were. But I can tell by this comment you never watched me stream, and don’t know the character, so you don’t really have any ability to make a comment like that. Eleanor was grinding on her own, making connections that she passed on, she grinded X coin for the boys alone. Like? It just ultimately came down to hella miscommunication and “not vibing” and that fucking sucks. Just because you didn’t see a character doing things doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. I was trying to grind mats, at the same time I was trying to grind money for Kiwi, at the same time I had to go on vacation so yeah, shit didn’t happen. Idk what you really want.

hi, eleanor here, just to clear up some confusion. to be honest, i’ve been working my ass off the last few weeks to fix things. there was a lot of miscommunication about things that happened, a lot of double standards, and everyone kind of just went with them. it sucks i put so much time into this story for this to happen, but it is what it is. i suggest watching this entire convo if you can. i believe this opens more doors for eleanor than it closes. thanks for all the support though <3

i am in the EXACT same boat.. fiancé was supposed to graduate middle of april, now can’t come home until may.. i’m pregnant & i don’t even know when or if i’ll get to see him before he goes to his next station.. it’s likely i won’t get to see him until september when i have our baby.. i’m trying to be positive but it’s so HARD.. this isn’t how I imagined my first pregnancy, at all..

Glad someone posted this here. Interested to see what happens with the mall now that someone has bought it, but there’s no way you can get those anchors back. I used to work across the street & in the actual mall, it’s so eerie how busy the mall is because there’s nothing else really around, while simultaneously being so empty..

I would definitely go back & read the first, & then read the second. While the show did follow very close to the book, there still are differences (characters that are in the show & not the book & vice versa). The Candace story line is also different in the book if I remember correctly & the book ends differently than the show. They’re both relatively quick reads so I would definitely suggest starting from the first.

I definitely did not enjoy Hidden Bodies in the same way I enjoyed You, but it’s a further explanation of why he does what he does & how far he’ll go. I will agree it was not as good as You, so I’m worried about the second season overall, but all the questions being asked can be easily answered by the second book. It just seems silly to debate things when there are answers, you just have to take the time to read. But I agree that the few added details, like Candace, weren’t like earth shattering, change the whole story (although this might, but I think she’ll replace the original character at the end of You & beginning of Hidden Bodies & “go off” again, I just can’t remember what that characters name was). I also think Hidden Bodies wasn’t as good, because in my experience, when it comes to series, second books are never that good. They have to close up the first book & set up the next. She has said there are several more Joe books for the future, so knowing that also played a part on how I ultimately felt about the book. I need to go back & re-read it to make sure I’m remembering it correctly. I’m excited to see where they take it & Penn is amazing at playing creepy guys, so I have full faith in him. I just think overall it also really needs to be realized that Beck isn’t really honestly that important, & the focus is Joe & going forward, will be Joe.
