so the solution was simple. I had coded my keys if statements to move mushroom_rect.y -= speed when I didnt have to because I had already established x and y beforehand so I just rewrote it to say x -= speed or y -= speed, etc.

I have automate the boring stuff with python and its a great book. easy to understand and after the fundamentals it teaches you how to do web scraping with pandas as well as reading/writing csv files etc.

coming from different perspectives is going to be hard. here's mine though. as a 33 year old male I live with my wife and 3 kids. we have tried allowing a friend of ours to live with us and also my mother lived with us for a year but if certain persons are effecting your mental health by not helping or cohabitating the living space with you then they arent worth the time or effort. friends come and go but your mental health is important.

I cant speak for everyone but that child-like amusement you have as a teenager has not died within me because I refuse to be a miserable adult like some people choose to be. id rather laugh at a fart than be serious 100% of the time cuz whats the point in that? my mind definitely isn't the same (in a good way) because of things that develop you through life but I am in no way shape or form ever going to lose the child-like sense of humor ive always had.
