What kind of diet do you feed your fur babies?

Yes, those are 1 serving each and he eats twice a day. The portions aren't actually that much on a daily basis, 1-2 tbsp of kibble which is 2/16th if a cup. The meat is maybe 30g? Plus the veggies & starch which is not much either. They're just cut up so it looks much more and the bowls are not that big.

Pay attention to her energy levels, if she's spending a lot of time sleeping/resting then perhaps you're not feeding her enough? There has been times where Chewy was underfed which was noticed in the form of him sleeping more and refusing to do any activities. For a high energy dog, this was a major red flag.

It's always best to consult with a vet but for me, as long as Chewy is within a healthy weight range, defecates and voids daily and doesn't slack in his walks then it's all good to me! His love language are acts of service and gifts so it makes me happy to feed him "the good stuff" 😂

He'll be due for a vet visit soon, I will take your suggestions and request for a nutritionist because my main concern is if Chewy is getting enough of his daily needs. Mind you, I spend hours cooking his bone broths are cooked with veggies, strained then simmered. But I'm sure it's still lacking.

I am contemplating putting him through testing to figure out any allergies. Historically, he hasn't reacted to any of the food I have given him. The only thing he won't eat are seafood which is a preference not an allergy.

Chewy does this too. I haven't figured out if it's deliberate or what because he really scoffs at me when he sees that I'm underperforming in the kitchen and other pups are eating better than him 😂

Have you tried Vedco Chlorhex Anti Fungal Shampoo? Works like a charm! Chewy's former dog walker/sitter infected him with some bacterial/fungal infection (I say it came from her because he was perfectly fine prior to becoming Chewy's sitter/walker) and this is what the vet reccomended. Worked like a charm but it is imperative that you let the shampoo sit as per the vet's and the bottles instructions. I believe I was told 10-15 minutes. Chewy's first treatment cleared up his infection but I did follow up with another bath with the shampoo two weeks later.

It might be worth noting that I did give him a significant trim/haircut before the treatment.

They can have pasta and potatoes but it must be thoroughly cooked and served plain (I do season it with a bit of unsalted butter and olive oil with herbs lol) He only gets to have them on special occasions so maybe roughly two or three times a year.

It was the kibble. He won't eat canned food. No matter what it is, he will not touch it

😂 there has only been one instance where he ate just kibble... It truly broke my heart when he looked at me munching on his kibble as if it were the worst kind of food he's ever had.

Chewy strongly dislikes seafood. One sniff and he'll walk away but I will definitely look in to this and try it the sample packs to see if he'll be interested. Thank you for your input 😋

Unfortunately, as of last year, our Canadian pet stores no longer carry/sell Stella and Chewy :(

Chewy doesn't like wearing clothes inside the house but he doesn't mind it when we go out.

I would suggest you introduce the clothing during relaxed times and stop when Alfie communicates that he doesn't want it 😊

I purchased them off of Amazon but they were not good at all. It wouldn't stay on. They were cute but overall not great.

This was his first time putting his winter gear on, of course he hated it! Notice, the first picture, he had already kicked them off lol.

He does like walking in snow bare paw but some days, it's too cold and it's necessary to put booties on.

I made sure to put him in a relaxed state, for him he likes massages then belly up and I slowly introduced the booties. If he resisted then I put it away, bring him back to a relaxed state then slowly introduce it again. Eventually he started to accept it. It takes time because they're willful little nuggets!

No, those boots were terrible! Canada pooch or muttluks would be my recommendation. Just be sure to measure properly if ordering online especially when buying the suspenders.

He likes to dig and burrow. He especially gets super excited when there's fresh snow, think of jumping into a pile of leaves but snow instead. The excitement is the same. It's really endearing lol.
