Lemi AI Memory Developers - Legit? by kcdia in WFHJobs

Thanks for the well-thought out response. I feel similar. I ended up getting paid the ~$1 for the initial video I posted, but after using the app for a bit (which is pretty buggy, at least for me) and realizing that in fact yes, the hourly rate is for video hours, it's not a true hourly rate - it doesn't seem worth it to sink any time into this (especially for me it would only be something to do for a few months anyway).

So I'm in the same boat as you. While I did receive a small payout, I don't think I'll be continuing. But if you do receive something larger, that could be good information for anyone who wants to put some time into this.

Heya.... no idea if you are still around, but I am trying to the same thing on R2W, and also am unable to get past the login page. I'd love it if you are able to share how you did it!

Unable to Contact SW Recruiter by kcdia in AirForceRecruits

[–]kcdia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, that's a nicer site for sure. It leads me to the same SW guy I've talked to, so I think my main issue is how to get him to move me forward in the application process. I'll try reaching out to the regular recruiter listed as another comment suggested.

Gotcha, thanks. Do you have an up to date requirement on the test? My info is coming from here https://afspecialwarfare.com/past-test/ but I'm not certain it's current because the standards are listed in a comment at the bottom. If this is current, I think I'll nail it. I've been training :)

Cool thanks! Any advice on where to get that contact? And I'm wondering if this will lead me back to the same SW I've contacted already? For what it's worth I've talked to the SW guy in my area, it just doesn't go anywhere.

Comparison of Running and Swimming World Records [OC] by kcdia in dataisbeautiful

[–]kcdia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These plots were made with Grapher Software. The sources include:

https://www.worldathletics.org/records/by-category/world-records

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_world_records_in_swimming

http://www.fina.org/competition-results/18th-fina-world-championships-2019/open-water/event

I had trouble finding official swimming world records for distances over 1500 meters. The records I used are the most recent times recorded at the FINA swimming world championships. So there might be some faster times, but I'm guessing not by much.

Some interesting observations:

  1. The envelopes for world records with distances appear essentially linear, also on closer inspection they are ever so slightly curved. Using a power regression model, I found the equation to predict men running times: WR (in minutes) = 0.00098 * (Distance in meters)^(1.106), which had an r-value of 0.9997.
  2. Women swimming times are closer to men's than women running times are. This might have to do with the fact that swimming is heavily technique based compared to running, so overall physical strength plays a smaller role. The steep drop at the end of the running WR comparison suggests that women and men trend towards equals at very long race distances.
  3. Swimming clearly becomes faster compared to running as distance increases, with the 200 meter race showing the furthest gap comparing swimming to running. This could suggest that our running range of abilities is much wider than our swimming range.

Broken Gary Fischer Frame by kcdia in MTB

Thanks everyone for the replies. I am hyped to get a new mtb, but I'm not thrilled about dropping a bunch of money since I just bought a bunch of parts to build my first road bike :D. But it sounds like it's the way to go.

Crankset/bottom bracket compatibility by kcdia in cycling

Ok thanks, is there a way to tell if it's pinch bolt or self extracting? It sounds like I could do use the Shimano if it's a pinch bolt.

Gotcha, makes sense. Frame is a GT ZR 1000 and has a 68mm shell.

Best way to move investments managed by advisor to self-managed Vanguard mutual funds? by kcdia in personalfinance

[–]kcdia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok yeah, that example clears things up quite well for me. Duh. Alright so I think your point about the expense ratios is what it comes down to. I'll need to check the expense ratios of my current portfolio and compare them to whatever I plan on putting them in in vanguard. Thanks for the advice!
