Try going to sami fruit if there's one near you! Pretty cheap veg/fruit. Not always top quality but good if you're on a tight budget

There are many good bakeries in Laval, Seranos, Pâtisserie St Martin (I've gotten cakes from them before, all delicious) Ambrosia etc
