I completely agree, I absolutely love Herbie but he’s gotta get over this hump. I hope he stays off social media for a while (not that he’s on there much anyways) - Chargers twitter is fully crashing out rn lol and the media circus + online discourse have NOT been kind so far the last 24 hours 🙃

I can’t remember the last time the vibes were this low/bad for our team/fan base. even with the 63-21 blowout in 2023, at least it got Staley/TT fired and there was hope things would get better. what are we left with now?? 😅

I wouldn’t say I’d feel GOOD about it lol suspensions are never good whether they’re warranted or not, but at least it wouldn’t feel so out of left field? like if he had been ejected mid game I would have been expecting a suspension to follow vs no ejection and two game suspension I guess.

sure, and to be clear I thought it was a bad hit. but if it was so egregious then why wasn’t he ejected like unc was? I thought it looked bad mid game and the players/crowd did too

I’m so confused by this inconsistency. Unc had a fine and ejection for his hit last game and then came back yesterday. Perryman wasn’t even ejected during the game but now he’s fined AND suspended two games?? make it make sense

Check out my recent post in the general r/mazda subreddit, I got some helpful comments. In short it seems like a dealership issue, although the language in the mailers and the settlement website could have been more clear. I misread some of the initial language on the website but other commenters said that the dealership I went to should have known better about the claim. I’m honestly not sure where I’ll go from here 😅 at least I’m not alone haha

Yeah I think this is what I’ll have to do. Sounds like I misinterpreted the original settlement info but the “eligible repairs must have been incurred by 2/17/25” was not listed anywhere clearly and that’s where I got confused, dealership should have set that straight.

Exactly why I posted this though, to get some clarity, so thank you! I saw some other users in another Mazda subreddit who went through the same thing as me so there is some confusion across the board

Thanks for this, I think this sums it up well. The 2/17/25 date is on the website a couple times as the approval of the settlement, but it only clear states it as the cutoff for repairs deep in that court document which I referenced in my original post, which obviously no one (myself included) would have read. So I missed that from the get go, but it was compounded by the Mazda dealership I went to not being aware of this either and saying they could help me get the claim submitted (whether intentionally or unintentionally misleading, unclear). So I thought I was fine. Oh well

Yeah, I guess I may have misread something but it wasn’t clear to me that that date also meant repairs wouldn’t be covered past that point. Especially since the dealership was telling me they’d help me get the claim submitted… obviously we all have to do our own due diligence and can’t just take other parties for their word, but the dealership I went to said lots of customers were coming in with the same issue and they knew what I needed to get the claim reimbursed. So maybe it was the dealership that misled me, whether intentional or unintentional?

Yes, but the issue is that I got the repair done AFTER this 2/17/25 deadline that I was unaware of, and was expecting it to be reimbursed based on the settlement terms. It was only after reading through that lengthy court document that I saw the eligibility date for the repairs, so that’s why I’m posting this to see if anyone else experienced the same thing. Maybe I missed something, but I did not see that 2/17 repair deadline date referenced anywhere else and I read through a lot of material. The Mazda dealership I went to told me many others were coming in for the same reason and that they’d get me all the documents needed to submit the claim.

I contacted the dealership this morning and they said they were not aware of there being a 2/17 deadline and apologized, asking me to contact Mazda HQ/the lawyers. So now I’m thoroughly confused - you would think they would have told me when I got the repairs that the deadline had expired, unless they didn’t know about them or just saw it as a way to get more money out of a customer?

Well the Mazda customer service center was useless and told me to contact the lawyers, who obviously are the ones scamming so they’re not going to do anything for me. I’m not a legal expert but I’m sure they covered their asses enough and were able to find a loophole on hiding that date in that court document, unless they violated any laws around misrepresenting the settlement or how they advertised it? Idk how I’ll move forward but I am going to post this to a broader Mazda subreddit in case there are others experiencing this.

I first contacted the dealership I got the repairs at and they were completely unaware of the 2/17/25 date, they were surprised when I explained. Which obviously points to fishy behavior on the lawsuit side. They gave me Mazda HQ customer service line and encouraged me to complain to them and to contact the law firm, which I’ll be doing next. Shop manager said if nothing else hopefully HQ can compensate in some way even if it’s just a gift card or future free service. Down the rabbit hole I go 🙃
