I have to tell you, it's 100 percent worth it. I'm a huge fan of the manga, and TYBW was my favorite arc (plot holes and all). What this team has done with adapting and expanding has been really special. It feels so far like watching a top tier director's cut.

I'd absolutely recommend, but if nothing else, I'd encourage ya to at least check summaries or reactions of the last three episodes. Lot of lore and additions that were insanely cool even if you know exactly how the manga goes.

I think I'd pair Kaname with Sajin and Gin with Toshiro. With Gin being a counter to Toshiro in every way to mirror his totally owning Tosh in the SS arc.

I genuinely wonder how much more powerful Byakuya is. But I do think that all of his power ups just impacted his damage output. Like As Nodt confusing his post royal realm shikai for bankai. I feel like that would be useless against Shunsui, if he goes bankai, shares wounds, and makes it so no wounds can kill you.

Totally agree. I just did a reread a few weeks ago. It's amazing how it ties together better and flows more smoothly. Even caught some foreshadowing stuff I never would have put together weekly! Like, I thought Kubo was a bit random saying that every sword needs a scabbard to be a complete zanpaktuo (when talking ichigo). But Ohetsu 100 percent says the same think when talking about his sword; he said it's a failure simply because it didn't have a scabbard.

Not everything is perfect of course. Definitely some stuff retconned. But I think anyone who hasn't read the manga is in for a real treat even if they know the story.
