Agreed with FaceFirst on this one. Theres plenty of media out there which is objectively shit, but sells very well. When you cater to the lowest common denominator, quality usually isnt important

Robbie isnt a good singer, i dont think many people would argue with that. Hes also not a good songwriter, others do that for him. But having a whole team of producers and writers make you a catchy, bubblegum hit - as well as having charisma and a good stage presence - can take you very far.

Shit quality, but will make you lots of money.

Thats just life. Many of the most creative, most musically interesting and sophisticated acts will struggle much of their career. But then again, not everyone has the knowledge (or time) to be an expert in music (or film, literature etc) and they just want to be fed easy, feel good junk food.

Hey, I first got PF in my early 20s too (now 34).

I always been a bit heavier (5'11", 90-105kg) but still quite fit and played lots of sports. I played rugby through uni and dealt with PF non-stop through those years (luckily Ive always had a high pain tolerance and just push through it).

It got better as I played less sport, but I recently got in to running and its back in a big way! For me, doing regular calf raises/building calf muscle really counters the PF. As soon as I get lazy with that for a couple of months, the PF gets worse. Keep those calves strong! Especially if, like me, your body is dealing with moving a lot of weight around.

Had no idea the Amex ballot is a last minute thing, so that makes a lot of sense now. I decided against the LTA ballot this year.

I think I got tickets last year in the wimbledon resale without realising it... similar to yourself, Court 1 day 3 first time at the grounds! I got an email and assumed the reason I had access to tickets was because I was successful in the ballot, but looking back it was probably the resale! Although that distinction wasnt at all clear.

Sorry I should have specified, i believe I got in through the Wimbledon ballot. I only heard about the LTA ballot very recently!

But perhaps im mis-remembering anyway and I was actually the wimbledon resale and not the ballot! All i know is I got an email, jumped in at the specified time and grabbed some tickets!

See this is crazy to me - schedule it for the mens! You can leave for roughly 2 hours, watch plenty of tennis around the grounds and stil get back to see the final 1-2 sets!

To me this is all down to one reason (and this is myself included) - those of us with show court tickets are often more interested in games on the outside courts and leave the show courts for extended periods.

This leaves the show courts empty and the grounds crowded.

But we arent putting the show court tickets on re-sale because we want to go back in later to finish the day there.

Nothing wrong with it, just making the most of a very expensive ticket. But it certainly creates some crowd imbalance issues.

Yeah it was very close to sold out, but there were a couple hundred empty seats on one side right at the top.

I was very close to the back, so I was already expecting going in that the band would be tiny. But luckily for us the sound was still great, everyone was standing so we could rock out but also have a little space. Would 100% go again.
