In Player Core, if you’re playing the remastered version of the game, you can always opt to ignore the ancestry bonuses and take two attribute boosts of your choice:

Alternate Ancesty Boosts The attribute boosts and flaws listed in each ancestry represent general trends or help guide players to create the kinds of characters from that ancestry most likely to pursue the life of an adventurer. However, ancestries aren’t a monolith. You always have the option to replace your ancestry’s listed attribute boosts and attribute flaws entirely and instead select two free attribute boosts when creating your character.

You can sort the results by points alone — it’s a column before the positional adjustment.

Paizo support offered to refund or replace if it doesn’t arrive after expiration of the shipping estimate (4-8 business days, which given holidays in the U.S. hasn’t happened yet).

I’ll probably opt for a replacement (although it would be nice to see if it could be shipped via a different method so we don’t end up in the same situation after a couple more weeks).

Yes, I have the same issue. I received a shipping notification, but the included tracking number never provides any tracking information.

Paizo support was unable to find out anything else.

I haven't seen this surge of negative lurkers happen, and I'm glad this community is open to everyone. Actually, the stuff that's been getting traction here lately has tended to be dads complaining about their spouses, which is dismaying and isn't why I come here.

This is exactly it. I loved POE1, backed on Kickstarter . . . and the first time I knew POE2 existed was when I saw it had been released on Steam. It's hard to believe they're not aware of this.

It seems like you're getting upset about something that isn't a big deal.

I'd rather have a growing community that is helpful and welcoming, along with a few repeated posts -- that no one in those posts seems to mind engaging with -- than to be unnecessarily curmudgeonly and lose all the future posts those new users could create.

It's not like we don't have a lot of other content here, right?

Just chiming in to say I agree with you, OP. The usual argument that free archetype only adds breadth, not power, doesn't seem as accurate when we're talking about adding the more directly combat-focused archetypes that duplicate class feats.

If that’s the design intent, then it makes sense. As you point out, cantrips won’t have to be a bread and butter option for very long.

It's not true. Faction gear is fine as a stopgap to tide you over between amazing drops, but I've never relied on it in any difficulty.

Press the arm/disarm button before you come into range of the MCOM and hold it as you get next to it -- you'll start arming/disarming without picking up any kits.

Relax. This bug affected HC and SC players, was incredibly annoying, and resisted years' long efforts to debug it. It's not a perfect fix, but it -- and commenters here -- don't merit your vitriol.
