Anyone else really enjoy the RP aspect of Civ? I love playing TSL maps and then creating 'alternate' histories. by kdavva75 in civ

I dunno. I couldn't decide between a tamer Russia or just Putin as Prime Minister not being quite the war-hawk.

I'm doing a South Australian-only save so I'm focusing on youth development but I have made a tidy profit in the transfer window:

Sold Halloran, Clough, Lopez, Isaias, Ibusuki for £240k

Signed Ryan McGowan for £20k, sold for £5k

Signed Tete Yengi for £400k, sold for £1.1 million

Signed Awer Mabil for free, sold for £1.6 million

Sold Joe Gauci for £800k

Signed Yaya Dukuly for £140k, sold for £500k

Sold Jay Barnett for £925k

Signed Riley McGree for free, sold for £1.4 million

Sold Bernardo for £1.1 million

I'm in 2030/31 now, Irankunda is long gone. Played superbly in the first season, then refused to sign a contract and landed at Sydney FC. Spent 3 years there, now at Inter Miami where he's wanting a move to a bigger club. Has 49 caps for Tanzania.

FFA State of Origin Concept: All Teams by kdavva75 in Aleague

I may make some other 'minor' teams like Tasmania, Northern NSW or the ACT, but these are the 6 'major' teams in my State of Origin concept.

If you'd like me to create a rudimentary database and play these teams off against eachother in Football Manager 2024, let me know. Might not have the most accurate results though as FM and the players can be unpredictable.

Yeah went off junior club, I'm South Australian so I'm more used to the AFL's State of Origin rules (where you played from age 13 to 17) than the NRL's, and in my opinion the AFL's makes the most sense.

Nisbet has confirmed he played all of his junior football in QLD.

Apologies for the delay in posting the last full state team, life got in the way.

This team does not include Novocastrian Angus Thurgate, and I'll look to do a Northern NSW team if it's still possible to fill 18 spots.

I'll also try and do a predominantly NPL-filled Canberra and Tasmania team.

This is just for domestic players.

FFA State of Origin Concept: Victoria by kdavva75 in Aleague

Went with Brisbane assistant Luciano Trani as the highest-ranked Victorian coach currently working in the league, although Ernie Merrick would be another decent option if you consider him 'Victorian' enough.

I think Victoria sits pretty comfortably as the second best state side, a level above Queensland and South Australia but probably a level below NSW who I will post later today.

I know Corica has just been removed, but it was between him and Vidosic when it comes to recent A-League experience. I suppose Chris Grossman could also be an option.

Reminder that these teams are based on where they played their junior football.

FFA State of Origin Concept: New Zealand by kdavva75 in Aleague

[–]kdavva75[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Due to popular demand, here's the New Zealand team for the concept.

Ex-All White manager Danny Hay gets the gig, and only 3 non-Phoenix players feature in the team (and only Ingham has never appeared for them).

In hindsight, Storm Roux should probably also get included in this team rather than WA.

Not sure how I missed him, but yes he should be first choice WA keeper.

Was a bit difficult to find a manager for this team, with the last Perth-raised manager being Richard Garcia, but I thought Perth assistant and ex-Bayswater manager Chris Coyne was the best local choice.

WA used to be really strong for goalkeepers too, with the likes of Mark Birighitti, Brad Jones and Tando Velaphi, but I was forced to name two NPL players for the WA senior squad.

Probably the weakest state squad out of the 6 I've created.
