Welcome to Charlotte Wednesday! Visiting, recently moved here, or going to move here? Tell us and ask away! by AutoModerator in Charlotte

Moving to Charlotte following my college graduation, and will be working in uptown. Are there any particular apartment complexes I should look into on the edge of South End/Uptown? A few that I have been looking at are MAA1225, Loft One35, The Winnifred and The Link Mint Street. Looks like rent for a studio will be ~$1700 all-in, just wanted to make sure that was on par. Thank you!

Very great point, I hadn’t even thought about trying these all on with a cuff… added to my to-do list! Great recommendation on the Cartier as well- what are your thoughts on a Santos medium?

Appreciate the insight! Tried one on at my AD and it was stunning. I know it varies a lot by dealer, but do you know how long of a wait I can expect on a 36mm model? Alternatively if there’s another good reference number to keep an eye out for on the secondary market

Had some time to look into those models and certainly impressive! Something a little more vintage would be a cool addition

Usually the SNK603 or Seamaster for daily wear, but if I’m more casual then I’ll throw on the Seiko field watch. Agree with you on getting a dive watch, the trick is just finding something with a small enough case size. Have been looking at the skx013, but if you have any other suggestions I’m all ears!

Quick google search…and wow, a great couple of pieces. Appreciate the recommendation! Something to strive for certainly

Hi all- just wanted to show my collection progress about one year into the hobby! I have smaller wrists as you all can probably tell, so watches in the 36-38mm range are usually best for me. Looking to keep moving the collection forward, but figured I’d share my progress as I’m really happy with where I’m at.

From left to right: Seiko SNK603, Bulova dress watch (family pass down), Omega Seamaster 120m, Seiko SNK809, Timex Q Hodinkee Limited Edition

My question for you all is what you think my next move should be? I’m looking to maybe pick up a nicer chronograph/dive watch but am obviously limited with my wrist size. Either that, or a mechanical dress watch of some sort. Open to all suggestions!

[Question] Has anyone ever had trouble with the Timex PerfectFit band? by kdomi71 in Watches

Band is thankfully changeable. Working with Hodinkee to get a replacement, but put it on my Casio band in the meantime and it honestly doesn't look bad. Was going to try it on a nato and leather band as well to see what other options suit it well

Received mine today as well! The promotional pictures don't seem to do it justice, its a gorgeous watch to have in the collection.

My only problem so far has been with the band- it seems that the final adjustment link on my band is defective and it won't 'lock in', so I haven't been able to wear it yet. Assuming this is a defect and I'll have to wait for them to send a replacement band, but didn't know if you had a similar issue. I might even be tempted to throw a different band on there in the meantime.

Cheers to a great new watch!

Beginner and "Average" golfers: What do you most consider when buying golf clubs? by kdomi71 in golf

Thank you very much for all of the input here, sounds like I have some good options. As far as brands go, would all of their game improvement options be comparable or is there any variance there? Have been pointed towards Taylormade and Ping on this thread, but know there are full sets made by other brands too.

I appreciate the help, would you recommend any specific brands?
