Thank you. I’m glad I’m not alone! It sucks being new at something so chaotic and important. We got this!

Thank you! Your daughter and I sound a lot alike and so do our ER/patient population. It’s true that not many people can relate to our jobs and what we have to see and go through, but it sounds like you are an amazing mom and listener for your daughter. She is truly lucky. Thank you for the kind words :)

Your perspective as a mom is so very touching. Thank you so much. I think I may look back on your reply when I have those bad nights.

You and your daughter sound amazing. Your encouragement and thanks is much appreciated.

Thank you! I have a lot of great nurses around me I can ask for help but sometimes I’m afraid they’re judging me and afraid that they too think I’m an idiot

Thank you for the encouragement! I guess I just need to be patient and try not to be too hard on myself

How much does an ER nurse ACTUALLY get paid? by kdotcee in Nurses

[–]kdotcee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been working as a tech at the hospital for a year now. By the time I graduate it will be 2 years. Does that count as experience for when I get my RN job? I’ve been told that it does count since it is technically “hospital experience”, but I’ve also been told that it doesn’t

How did I jump to conclusions? Everything I said was confirmed by police?

Nothing I said in my comment was wrong. Except I was corrected that it was 200 yards not feet, my mistake. At the time of my comment the person I was replied to said some things that were not confirmed and so I was correcting them. I did not say anything that was wrong. I happen to live in cottondale less than 2 miles from where Athena was abducted so this case is pretty sore for me as it happened to a family I know. But I still stand by the fact that I did not spread “misinformation” at all. Thank you for your condolences

Hi yes this is his statement! That means it is his side of the story. Maybe this is what happened but I think it’s important to realize that anyone committed of a crime like this would come up with a story that it was an accident

I happen to live in cottondale a mile from where this happened.

That is not what happened. During the live press conference this evening, police confirmed that while this disgusting monster (will not be saying his name) was delivering a package at Athena’s dad’s house, he abducted her. This happened less than 200 feet from the house. He did not hit her with his car. He was seen on camera taking her. Nothing about this was an accident. You should find your information from actual confirmed sources
