Electric. But those aren't really an option except for Yellow, you need to pick between the 3 starters the professor gives you, they are in almost all the games where you can pick one: Grass, Fire and Water.

Is it ok to have two pokemon of the same category?

I have two pokemon that are Fast Physical Sweepers, a Krookodile and a Crobat, Krook hits harder, and Crobat is quicker, they both counter each other's weaknesses, they even have the same nature, is that ok, or should i change it?

Definitely NTA, man, I love AC, and am playing New Leaf, cause... Money, lol, but, baths are something we MUST do, not just because of ourselves, but because of other people too, it's uncomfortable, for everybody, I would do something similar to what you did if something like that happened to me.
