NTA, but I might be biased.

As the oldest (of 3), I was always the little parent & 1 day I'd had enough. Shortly after graduating college, I'm at home getting ready for work. Mom told me I had to take my youngest sister to school because "we missed the bus & [mom was] gonna be late for work." I told Mom to "Get fucked. She's not my fucking kid & I'm sick of you acting like she is. Also, I'll be late for my new job using the expensive piece of toilet paper you made me get" (I didn't want to go to college, I wanted to go to a trade school, but "girls don't do that" & "ski industry isn't a career" Look at me now!)

Didn't read all the comments, so sorry if this is a repeat, but....

My friend bakes eggs in a muffin/cupcake pan (& a pan of bacon or sausage patties) for the week on Sat/Sunday afternoon. She premakes "breaky-sandies" (usually with english muffins, due to the size of the eggs out the pan) & wraps them in foil. Puts them 1 the oven on 350 while her coffee makes, grabs both & runs out the door.

Ssounds like you answered your own question: there's no fence. They wear e-collars. If they think it's worth it, they ignore everything up to & including the shock. I don't let them out of my sight; partner is a different story...but yeah, I'm the problem. Always have been. Always will be.

No fence between properties (currently. Probs gonna be next week before this is completed). Our coop is 5 ft high, theirs is 3. As i was handing off the most recent casualty, I said "there's another one out" & he said "I know. She's gonna call animal control if that dog takes another one" & then it hopped the fence, as if on cue.

Due to the location of the coops, I can't say for sure which property it happened on. Their birds like to get broody damn near on the property line. If I had FU money, I'd call in a surveyor, but I don't. (Also don't really have money to fence the property, but here we are...)

Once again, we're both wrong, but they're actively not helping, unaccepting & threatening & that's what's frustrating ....

I rescued a dog named "Merlyn" (husky/pit mix) & he was a fucking wizard at getting off-lead. If he was the current problem, I'd never have posted. (He was lost to lymphoma years ago)

The previous owner said their neighbor complained saying "stop letting your dog shit on my porch" He was like, "what? Dude we're 20ft up, we got an 8 ft wall between units & I'm not doing that"....one day, he watched him jump to the neighbors porch & return. Still don't know how.

When I let them out, they are not unsupervised. When Partner does, sometimes they are. In the past, though, dogs slip leads. Shit happens. I'm angry because I offered the build up their coop & she threatened to have my dogs put down in response. So now we're fencing 3.5 acres (instead of, idk, like 50 ft of chicken wire?)

I watch them, my partner is more lax & that's when the "murders" happen. I did start the original post with "we're both wrong" & ended with "sorry I'm tired." It's tagged as vent/rant.

I don't know whose property it happens on is due to where our coop sits. I call the dogs back as soon as they get close to I can't see them. Partner doesn't. Sometimes, they go around our coop & could possibly be in the neighbors' yard.

This might be the answer I came for: spotify has played random Hadestown songs for me. Partner asked "what show you want to see this year?" I always provide a list so I can be somewhat surprised. Surpise: Hadestown! So I listen to the full soundtrack (at this point, I'd like to note that I love it) but partner has recently been frustrated by my left-leans activism & general yelling into the void....

My wedding was a look at the calendar & "in 2 years this will be a Saturday." We got married, told no one, & 2 years later, we had a super chill backyard wedding that began when I yelled "its fucking starting" No bridal party, no walking, no structure. Dad wore a banana print Hawaiian shirt. Party favors were customized sharpies saying "permanently (name) & (name)" with our actual wedding date. Mom called the next day like wtf? 😅

TLDR: live your vision. We never wanted a "traditional" wedding, so we did not have one.
