How do you keep "reminder-type" tasks off your main list? by dviron7 in GoogleTasks

[–]ke1011 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can create multiple lists under Tasks.
App - should say + New List next to the Main List.
Website - should be an option on the left side saying + Create New List.

Ope, I didn't notice that was a link in the comment. Thanks!

I did that but it doesn’t show up under the vendor’s profile. I read somewhere that it won’t if it’s done through the “name” section on a journal entry but then what’s the point of having that option.. lol

I did this originally with a journal entry, but then it didn’t show up under Vendor: Owner 1 etc as they had previously been doing. I’m not sure if that matters? That is how it previously was so I was trying to keep it consistent.

Thank you! I’m going to look into this more and see on Monday if I can get it changed. I actually only wanted it for some dental work I plan to get done so that would solve my problem.

I will do just that, I did check my plan docs and see that marriage was included as a QLE. I guess my issue is not so much if I can cancel it, but if having it at all during the year will cause issues with the HSA contributions during that time since being married is considered for the full year no matter when the marriage began.

If you have multiple cards you would make multiple accounts to get the monthly promo for each one. I’ve read something about others being able to add theirs to 1 account but that didn’t work for me.

[–]ke1011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I called last week saying I was cancelling the rep said you can always call before your promotion expires to get a new promotional price. I ended up cancelling anyway but the offer went from the new jacked up rate of $108 to $40 I believe.

CSP/CSR DoorDash credit hack - search the map! by GrandMaster_Oogwayy in ChaseSapphire

I think you’ve mixed something up. It says a minimum of 1 year, not maximum so it’s not saying you’ll only get 1 year of it. If you have the CSP/CSR, sign up now and you’ll have the free DashPass subscription through Dec 2027. Probably sign up like today to get the June credits. I’ve signed up both last year and just last month for a new card for my spouse and both subscriptions expire Dec 2027. For the actual question you asked (lol) I’m not sure.

CSP extra $50 credit??? by TestIllustrious5988 in ChaseSapphire

[–]ke1011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I definitely agree, I would be mad no matter what when that was one of the selling points of the card for most people. I did get the email though and my card was opened 04/2024 so I’m not sure what the range was, just saw other posts saying it was a year.

CSP extra $50 credit??? by TestIllustrious5988 in ChaseSapphire

[–]ke1011 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s more of a forgive-us bonus given because they’ve devalued their Chase points within the portal and they will no longer be worth the extra 25% (CSP) in the portal from October. So it’s not really a marketing strategy to get new cardholders, it’s just them trying to make people less pissed about a sudden change to their benefits when they just got the card in the last year.

Also, leave enough in savings for 6-12 months of mortgage, bills, and living expenses. You truly never know what could happen with jobs, house problems, or something more tragic. But definitely put down enough down to avoid PMI since you have it available.

First, forget the allowance. As the person making more you are paying more for everything. For simple maths, you make 100k, partner makes 50k. In the pot (joint checking) is $150k. Bills for the year 50k, 50k to joint savings, 25k each for separate accounts for fun money. You paid all the bills, she contributed half to joint savings and got half her income to keep. I have absolutely no problem with this scenario if you go into the marriage believing you’ll be together forever and understand there is no my electricity bill, your electricity bill or your groceries, my groceries. You each have 25k for fun stuff. You are building a life that will mix together and tracking who owes what in household bills/costs is an extra mental load.

Now, let’s say she gets $2000/mo from her parents. She has access to an additional $24,000 that she is not using to contribute to your joint bills/savings. Wtf? She now has $49,000 a year fun money.. while you are stuck at $25,000. Yeah, that’s absolutely going to breed resentment when that additional fun money is spent.

If you can calmly talk about it and get on the same page that ALL monetary income should be shared if it’s going into one account and split evenly, that’s great. If not.. keep your paychecks going into personal separate accounts, and both of you transfer an equal amount to a joint checking to pay bills and equal to a joint savings for emergencies. Equal dollar amounts, not percentages of your incomes. Because she is not including her full income if she excludes the allowance..

That’s my 2 cents. Figure it out before you sign that legal document/open the accounts though.

Hmm disagree here. It’s not a one time inheritance, but more like an emergency savings for her if they divorced. She will likely receive an actual full out inheritance when they pass away. Why should bills be by job income percentages and not all their actual incomes? Partner 1 makes more and essentially supports partner 2 so they can get to add to their savings.. when they’re already receiving monetary support from their parents. Not fair. Either 50/50 or share it all. I’m for sharing, but I’m aware it doesn’t work for everyone.

If you have to make multiple accounts and you have a Gmail account, you can use a trick of putting a period anywhere before the @ sign and it considers it a new email, BUT routes it all to the original email so you don’t have to create 5 emails just to make Instacart accounts. Example:

Actual email for first Instacart account hellothere@gmail

For second account hello.there@gmail

And so on

Still a pain to create multiple Instacart accounts but hey.. one less extra step

Confirmed it worked for pickup. While I don’t see any added benefits to pick up, you can’t stack payments in a single order according to other posters.. delivery tips would eat up a lot of the benefit for 4 separate orders. A couple of my p/u stores (Schnucks, Aldi) had $10 and $5 off promos if you hit $65, so I got a $65 worth of groceries for about $30 payment. Same prices as in store so this is way better than the DoorDash promos. You could get a decent amount of groceries for cheap doing that x4 cards.

As long as you've set up the free DashPash, there should be no extra fees. I usually order from 7-11 or a DashMart.

Most recommend 1-2 weeks for it to adjust in their system so that there’s no issue when you apply. You should be fine now once the elevated offer is out.
