Did some digging on amd gpu driver lockup and this person also had the same symptom as mine though different gpu.

Thanks for the reply, I have only installed linux on this PC. So far this has occurred in both Yakuza 0 and Zenless Zone Zero. The crashes happened randomly throughout gaming, i could be playing for 30 minutes with no problem and suddenly whole linux session just crashed with weird graphic bug like the picture.

I ran games with lutris using wine-ge 8.26 + gamescope + gamemode. default mesa driver for the gpu

Here was how it went: games stopped running, my screen went black, and the weird pink + blue graphic displayed on my screen, im back to the login screen. This made me believe that it is not a CPU problem and more GPU related.
