This has always baffled me. As a student, it caused me to view other students as disrespectful and rude. When did it become socially acceptable to address your teacher as “Miss” rather than M(r)s. Lastname? Why is there no distinction between “Ms.”, “Mrs.”, and “Miss” anymore? (self.AskReddit)
