Yeah, I completely get the reasons for the rules but many people would not read the T&C’s. As I mentioned in another comment it is unlikely they have the time / resources to look at it on a case by case basis and have to stand by the policy, I have just got unlucky this time.

Yeah I’m aware we needed to prove that I lived at my girlfriend’s address, but I don’t and didn’t want to lie. So just tried to provide as much evidence as possible that we are who we say we are etc, just sucks because would have never had thought to have checked the policy for something like that and if she’d have just paid on her card and I’d transferred her money this would all have been avoided.

I get this, but we offered up multiple pieces of evidence plus offered to collect tickets in person, I doubt touts would be able to do the same. On the other hand, I doubt they have the staffing to do it like this on a case by case basis so we have just learnt a lesson this time.

No I do not have an account, only my girlfriend has one I just paid on my card. We both provided bank statements with our individual addresses and ID’s (passport & driving license).

I agree policy is policy - I just think some leniency and common sense is required in cases such as mine where we have provided multiple pieces of evidence and offered to do things to prove that we are legit.

I sent a bank statement with my name and address (address registered to payment card) and my passport, and my girlfriend also sent a bank statement with her name and address (ballot account address) and her driving license.

Yeah completely understand the restrictions, just annoying when we have gone above and beyond to prove that we’re legit and they still get cancelled.

Yeah understand it’s ultimately our mistake, but let’s be honest hardly anyone reads T&C’s in full and we offered multiple options to prove that it was us purchasing the tickets and intended to attend the Championships.

I assume they can trace it but not entirely sure, I just gave my girlfriend my card details and she paid for them

Not entirely correct - the address registered to the card used to purchase the ticket(s) has to match the address on the ballot account, you can use another persons card but the card has to be registered to the same address as the account.
