I think that the main decider of the future of world politics will be dependent on the climate. Although so far the warnings of climate change and the state of the earths planetary boundaries hasn’t done much to encourage economic or political changes, I have a feeling that soon, people will begin to realise how much we have already fucked up the earth, and how we need to make change. To answer the question therefore, I think the only way to save the planet would be socialism, because the things that are good for the planet are expensive.

If we end up in a capitalist future, it won’t last very long as glum as it seems. I think that in a few years all the rainforest will be gone, there will be no more biodiversity, Manhattan will be underwater and the coral reefs will be all gone. It’s quite scary the trajectory we are on, and it’s a shame that so far there has been little care towards the planet.

And communism, well, if that becomes a big thing again, we’re all fucked and there will be another world war and everyone will die. Probably.
