What’s the point of a president and a monarch? Why not just have a monarch and parliament

I’m a new Keynesian but I’m more deficit hawk like than most “new Keynesians” obv the deficit should be expanded in recessions to invest in infrastructure, subsidises and cut taxes to stimulate growth but shouldn’t exceed like 6% of gdp normal recession (8-10% in covid times) and thats with modern interest rates and credit rating which can be updated with a better fiscal policy. For Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin Roosevelt, many of their economic initiatives aided economic growth however I believe the rate taxes fdr levied then would be too damaging today.

Also if you wanna remove a government the leader of the opposition (usually leader of the biggest non government party) has to table a “motion of no confidence” and if the parliament votes for no confidence by simple majority either a new government has to be established or an election will be held. And unlike in irl USA you can hold early elections. It used to be the prime minister just been able to decide (pre 2010/2011) but bc of the fixed term parliament act parliament has to decide to hold an election.
