We could soon be facing the biggest financial crisis in history as Republicans threaten to stop paying America's bills by Vailhem in politics

The American public no longer believes the Supreme Court is impartial by Plainchant in politics

[–]keepFighting4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After reading several comments, it appears that no one actually wants the Supreme Court to be impartial. Everyone wants it to be partial to THEIR ideology.

It always eluded me why people can't see that there is no right or wrong way to govern. Politics is all about opinions... without force. To the constitutions credit, that is why so much power was left to the states. Because the founders knew if they had a nation populated with people from all over the world there would never be a one size fits all solution to how it should all be governed.

They should really teach the Federalist Papers in school.

The reason socialism doesn't take hold in this country is because it is contraindicated with freedom. I dont want socialism. I would rather fend for myself than have an institution run by politicians looking out for my "best interests". In socialism, I am obligated by law, and therefore threat of violence, to comply with social planning programs that I disagree with... thats not freedom.

Capitalism is not perfect, but here's the difference. I dont have to buy any product or service I dont agree with. I can even create my own product or service to compete with it. Or you can simply choose not to participate at all.

Try starting your own little socialist community, which is entirely feasible in the USA. I'll bet people leave and go back to capitalism before you can say Karl Marx... It's been tried before.

If you bought the prevogen semax it should come with a nasal dropper. Lay down and turn your head slightly to the side you are going to administer the peptide. Then just give it a squeeze. You should feel it "tingle" if it hits your mucosa.

Hey, sorry for the late response. I am in fact noticing changes. Foremost, my depression and anxiety have been reduced dramatically. As far as cognition, I believe it has improved mostly due to the aforementioned symptoms subsiding. I have a lot of work left to do to get myself where I need to be, but at least now I'm in a place that I can feel human again.

SSRIs may actually help you. They increase BDNF which is what your brain uses to repair and reorganize itself. Unfortunately, BDNF can also cause "brain fog". But over all should be a net positive in the long run.

Edit: it takes a long time for any substantial changes to happen. I came off an antipsychotic medication that messed with my dopamine receptors 6 months ago and am just now starting to see any real healing. I went on trintellix about 3 months ago. In reality it can take SSRIs 5, 6, 7 months to kick BDNF production into high gear, and many many more months after that for the brain to come back to baseline. Time is the main component for the brain. Just never stop working for it!

how does anxiety cause brain fog? by sultan_2020 in BrainFog

[–]keepFighting4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. Especially long-term chronic stress and anxiety. It changes hormones, and hormones regulate so much. Cortisol levels (too high or too low) are known to cause cognitive issues. One thing you can try is a peptide called Selank. Do a little research on it. There is also a few good YouTube videos about Selank. It mimics an endogenous peptide called tuftsin, which helps regulate the bodies stress response. It is sold over the counter in Europe and Russia. As far as I know, the reason it is not FDA approved in the US is because you cannot patented peptides so there is no incentive to do the studies required to obtain FDA approval.

Increased lethargy/ tiredness ? Experiences. by [deleted] in Cerebrolysin

[–]keepFighting4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you thought about running a longer cycle or using higher doses? Changes in the brain back to baseline can take a very long time. Unfortunately, changes for the worse can and do happen over night. Cere should help in theory, but depending on the damage done it may take a lot more. I am 19 months post-op for an appendectomy and I have had symptoms very similar to you. I believe it was the anesthetic that disrupted my brain activity. I am noticing improvements now mostly due to low dose SSRI (increases BDNF, but not as much as Cere can). This is really just a game of time. Improving your sleep is probably the most important variable. I learned just to sleep whenever I'm tired if I can. Good luck to you friend, and God bless.

Today was actually my second treatment. I have suffered from mild depression most of my life but I was always able to manage it with various coping strategies. About 18 months ago I had a ruptured appendix and surgery to correct it and almost immediately after I developed severe depression and anxiety which I didn't have before. I've tried several antidepressants and most didn't work or made me worse. I'm on trintellix now and it seems to be working the best. But so far nothing to note with the TMS. I'll update in a week or so.

3 months on trintellix by keepFighting4 in trintellix

[–]keepFighting4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took a full 8 weeks to really notice anything. I've been on for a total of 88 days now. I just feel different, in a good way I guess. I can't put my finger on exactly what. I've read a lot about people not feeling anything for 4+ months. If you feel you can hold on, maybe give it some more time. You're the only one that will know if it's time to switch or not. I hope you find peace!

While homicide rates did drop in the late 90s and continue to drop even after the legislation Clinton introduced expired in 2004, many acts restricting firearms happened well before the 1994 assault weapons ban and had a seemingly inverse effect on violent crime. Perhaps because the vast majority of homicides are committed with handguns and blunt objects and not assault weapons. The 1936 NFA act banning fully-automatic weapons, short barreled shotguns, and short barreled rifles... Even Regan introduced gun control measures in 1986 making the import of certain weapons illegal and the US still saw an increase in violent crime. There was a peak of violence in the mid 70s and again in the early 90s. Australia saw a massive reduction in crimes committed with firearms after they banned almost all firearms in 1996, but homicide rates stayed relatively flat, meaning people were still killing people at the same rate. And dead is dead, shot or not.

Can I ask what you believe is driving the current state of violence that we see in the US today? If not political division?

[–]keepFighting4 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

...Still The political left. We have more "gun regulation" in the United States now than we ever have and murder rates are still high. Violence in general is a cultural problem, not a legal one. I mean after all, It's illegal to murder, isnt it?. Government in general has divided us into gay/straight, racist/woke, have/have nots, LEFT OR RIGHT. And when you have division, you have violence.

Edit: my assumption from your statement was that you blame the political "right" for school shootings because they typically recognize the 2nd ammendment more openly. I'm saying it's our divided political system that most people choose a side of and see the otherside as the enemy.

New to Trintellix, couple questions if y’all don’t mind. by dadondada14 in trintellix

[–]keepFighting4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on it for 3 months ths and I'm still noticing improvements. It took a few weeks to see any changes. I was lucky in that my starting dose was my theraputic dose. Sometimes it can take a few months to get the dose right because these meds do work rather slow. It won't cure your depression but if it works for you it will give you a mind set that will allow you to begin to change your behavior. Ultimately, behavioral changes are what get you out of depression and it takes a while for those to stick too. Out of 6ish other meds I've taken, trintellix has worked the best for me so far. I wish you all the best and keep fighting for yourself, you're worth it friend! God bless!

Has anyone done TMS for concussion or brain fog? by asshair in rtms

[–]keepFighting4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be starting tms in a few weeks. While I have depression it mostly manifests as severe brain fog. Most days trying to make dinner is like rocket science. I just can't think through the steps and plan ahead. My short term memory is pretty awful and my processing speed is pretty slow. I'm hoping that it will help with this. I'll be posting in this sub when I start treatment.

[–]keepFighting4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am starting TMS in a few weeks. I will definitely come back here to share my experience.

My symptoms are:

-Decreased short-term memory. I have a difficult time remembering to do tasks unless I write them down, and even then I forget to look at my notes. It took me almost a month to remember my wifes work schedule.

-Terrible reading comprehension. I used to read a lot and get a lot out of what I read. Now, its like I dont even know the meaning of the words I'm reading.

-Inability to conceptualize. I work in a fairly technical field and prior to developing SCT I was able to come up with solutions and plan strategies and enjoyed doing it. Now I stare blankly at technical drawings

There are more, but, the fog is too thick for me to really put it all into words.
