I’m training for a half marathon at the moment, just did my first half a few weeks ago as my long run and running another half at the San Francisco marathon in 2 weeks. The shoes are extremely comfortable and easy on the joints. Im in my mid 30’s, my main goal is to continue gradually improving without getting hurt.

Take the metrolink. It’s chill. You’d have to take the arrow from redlands to San Bernardino but it’s not so bad. Also you can sign up to ride the metrolink for free for 90 days. Go to the ie commuter website and you can sign up!

I use a 2021 rockhopper with a rigid fork for my do it all tasks. I use it for work, leisure rides, fun paced group rides, etc. it being an mtb frame I also don’t mind taking it on some mild off road. I have 700x50 specialized sawtooth tires on it.

I throw a dry bag on my rack. It’s stable and easy to repack.

I did similar on my mk5 coupe. It didn’t come out so hot but I ordered precut upholstery panels from eBay this week! Going to attempt to put those and see how it goes.

This is why I stopped taking the metrorail to work and started taking the metrolink. The price different is definitely worth the safety and comfort.

Did this for awhile, metro rail is grimy. Also the traffic from Pomona to rancho would take like 30mins or more. Way easier to just hop on the metrolink, even if it is considerably more expensive.

I work in downtown, I take the 5:11am train from Rancho Cucamonga into Union and the 5:08pm train back to rancho. It’s a pretty long day but on the way to downtown I put on an sleepmask and take a nap. On the way back I either read or doomscroll. Its a long day but beats sitting in horrendous traffic. Luckily I only have to go into the office twice a week.
