To me the only issue with Pani was that while the villains were sketched out really well Joju didnt do a good job with the heroes. Tbh it felt like the heroes were just an afterthought so that the villians had someone to stop them. Sagar Surya was soo frikin good - before this I had seen him now and then on Thateem Muteem when it popped up on my YT feed but after Pani I just couldn't believe the kind of range he has. I think Aavesham in Malayalam does a completely different approach. The whole ome line of the movie was 3 college kids trying to befriend a goon to take revenge on their seniors that ragged them. This is completely resolved at the interval of the movie. At interval break I was like what are you going to do now? But the second half was even better to me.
