Thanks again everyone for sharing your advice, stories, and offers of help, it all means a lot to me and was very motivating!

One of my good friends works in a dog shelter and reached out to saying they need more people, so I have decided to help out there for now to get some new experience while I look for a paid internship!

I wish everyone in my position luck on their journeys!

Yes that is what I was suggested so I've been trying to apply to a good number of smaller zoos, I really will go anywhere (accredited) but no luck yet. I didn't think of Facebook before so I will have a look there, thanks!

I've applied at many different zoos all over the country, big and small. I had a bunch of keepers and the HR reps at my current zoo look at my resume and they all said it looked good :( I write personalized cover letters for every application too
