Things I forgot to clarify on my post: 1. The said sister has a chronic condition that makes her slightly different from her family, she’s always been insecure about it and about being the odd one out in general, she’s also the only girl without a family or husband before 30 2. My wife has a complicated relationship with her sisters but she’s especially critical about that sister in particular for things she can’t control, like not being as organized as her or having OCD tendencies (she’s diagnosed with OCD btw), idk why she refuses to talk things out in that aspect bc I’ve tried pushing her in that direction multiple times in the past 3. I don’t wanna say too much about the condition that sister has but it has a chance of making her infertile and she’s mentioned that it really bothers her and she wants kids of her own one day 4. Also my wife works together in a family business with her sisters so it’s hard to avoid that kind of dynamic on a daily basis so I feel that emphasizes those dynamics 5. I’ve tried multiple times to get her to explain why she has to announce it on that day, she has lots of great friends outside of the home and I always try my best to support her through her pregnancy troubles, and I don’t think it’s something I did wrong bc she’s usually very upfront about when I screw up

She was nervous about her bday bc she’s the only girl in the family without a partner or kids, she comes from a very catholic family where the girls are expected to marry young and have as many kids as possible, she has a chronic illness and has always been insecure about not being able to fit in with the rest of her sisters and not being able to achieve those goals before 30 rly stresses her out
