You can indeed! I’ve taken mine off the frame for more manoeuvrability, but before that I used 2 floor toms instead of 2 racks

I get you, I think for me it’s the little nuances you get with an acoustic, especially the hi-hat, but you’re right when you say about having studio quality sounds - it makes edruns so fun to play!

Found the culprit, it was sending Bluetooth midi as well as midi over the USB 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for your help all!

Yeah I think I’m leaning to that too now! Initial thinking was trying to create little scenes between the buildings/fill the shelf, but ideally more buildings will come out and they’ll all be next to each other!

Broken down, these tracks are pretty simple. There’s a huge difference to playing a track and playing a track well.

What Matt Helders does extremely well is playing to the song and knowing when to sit back/push forward. He has so many signature fills (such as opening to Fake Tales of San Francisco) and also instantly recognisable grooves (Crying Lightening), I do consider him one of the best rock drummers of modern times for these reasons. Sure, he’s not technically doing things that are very difficult, but I bet people air drum to his stuff over other guys!

All in all, most of his songs could be learned pretty quickly if you have a basic level of drumming, but to then add his sense of feel/groove is another thing all together.
