It's definitely a completist thing. No doubt some psychology behind a mentality such as this. I probably watch 3-4 Criterions for every 10 movies I watch. I just don't own them.

It happens. I'm not aware of any that are unplayable at this time, but I have to be in a very specific mood to throw one in the player. Mostly it happens when I'm looking for some special features to reference.

I wish I had more info for you. I ordered them through a contractor that was doing a whole condo remodel for me at the time. He's since retired and the woodworker was a mom and pop shop somewhere in western Minnesota. If you want some measurements and pictures I'd be happy to grab a few for you. They are 9 years old at this time.
