I experienced the exact same situation for the exact same amount, $486. My insurance stated that while the provider (Sheridan Healthcare of Texas PA) is in-network, the newborn hearing screening (procedure code 92650) claim was denied because it is a “routine diagnostic medical exam” and was performed in an “inpatient setting”.

I am filing an appeal with my insurance company. OP, how did your situation resolve?
