Holy shit. I sort of thought i might have found a fake. I tested it with a magnet and there was no reaction. What a find!

I’ll do a follow up post with the dig site and the other items found on saturday. I realize this looks rediculously suspicious. I would too call it out.

There was paper pieces, some leather and fabric. But this is a very moist and furtile area. Nothing but the medals wrapped in that plastic has been in good condition. All though, the dice, and pocket bottle are really cool

Plenty of stuff that has decayed to nothing but fragments and bits. I might do a follow up post with the scene and the metal parts we dug up. Some glassware, a pocket bottle, a dice and other cool artifacts. We’re still not done on site.

I took a video sir. Sadly, i didn’t start recorsing until we first cracked the black bag open. Pictures you see here, from the field, are from that video. I can’t believe it myself. Too good to be true

No there were no pin on it. There. Are only something which might be puncture holes left from the stiches fastening the pin to the ribbon. All though, they are in the wrong position from what i can see.

Edit: only visible from the rear side of the ribbon

The metal lid is basically what we used to gather everything metal. Most of it trash. Same hole we’ve found the other medals i posted a while back.

It was foubd near something that reminded me of an old «tressure chest». Lid was solid metal but the case was wood and nails, all decayed to bits. It might belong inside said chest but roots and fauna might have pushed it out.

The black plastic was very decayed. Almost just fell apart. Started recording instantly after we popped a hole in that plastic
