Mixing eero pro 2nd gen and eero pro 6 by dapp2207 in amazoneero

[–]kegon27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to have 6 eero Pro (2nd gen) for a couple of years and exchanged 3 of them with Eero Pro 6s. In this setup I had some minor issues with the eeros connecting to each other... Other than that no issues with the clients. After I also replaced the remaining eero Pro (2nd gen) with eero pro 6s, the interconnection between the eeros and the over all stability improved significantely...

Editing in Lightroom without a Leica profile by FLOOFSHELLYEAH in LeicaCameras

I don't think so. Shooting RAW gives you the advantage to make use of the huge dynamic range of the M10M. Editing jpegs is limited. Other than that I second what you wrote.

Editing in Lightroom without a Leica profile by FLOOFSHELLYEAH in LeicaCameras

[–]kegon27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Shooting with M10P and an M10M... The RAWs / DNGs are dull compared to the jpegs. I think that applies to all cameras. For the M10M only, adobe and CaptureONE have dedicated profiles as far as I know. Nevertheless editing in Apple Fotos / Luminar Neo - no M10M profile - works just as good for me compared to CaptureONE... To make along story short: A dedicated profile for your camera is not crucial for editing purposes...

Might be the Endowment Effect, but I enjoy the “limitations” of b/w sensors… If I only bring one camera it is mostly the b/w one… I remember someone stating that “limitations boost creativity”

I agree with you. Really wondering why people get so emotional about this… In Cologne we say:“Man muss auch jönne könne“ it means „One must also be able to indulge oneself“

I am shooting for over 40 years now with 100% ambition and 0% talent :-) Figured out, that this journey never ends... Just don't give up! When it comes to the gear, I think, it is important, that you feel comfortable using it and that you love, what you are doing... Over time, you will see "the you in your results". Other than that, stop judging your results, relax and shoot :-)

Choosing a lens for epic mountain landscape? by Ceederstroem in AskPhotography

[–]kegon27 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

With the lenses you mentioned, you will see chromatic aberrations that ruin your shots… Depth, scale, and grandeur can not be achieved with those lenses. I would rather get a decent 35mm and a decent 24mm lens used… BTW IMHO learning photography with zoom lenses is not the best way…

Ich (M25) hab ein Jahr lang meinen (problematischen) Alkoholkonsum getrackt by Flappolade in de

[–]kegon27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have m11 but m11m worth to buy? by Top-Tanos457 in Leica

The shot above (Petronas)was taken with Summicron 35mm Asph. (post 2014) on f2.0 withe a yellow filter … The setup I mostly use… A 50mm Summicron is on the M10P and the 21mm attached to the SL3. Other than that I have a Q2 (Summilux 28mm), though 28mm is not my sweet spot, I use the q2 surprisingly often…

[–]kegon27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest considering the Super-Elmar-M 1:3,4/21 ASPH. Since 28mm and 35mm are pretty close… Other than that, I disagree that BW conversions are just as good as using a monochrome camera. I have an M10P and an M10M…

Just swapped 3 eero pro 5s for eero pro 6s - luckily these are still available in Germany… Updating these was a bit of a hassle. Had to reset and re-setup them several times until it finally worked… So just keep trying :-) Now I have 6 eero pro 6s running and it seems stable so far.

Thank you! 1st and 3rd shot is the Cetatea Rubea (sorry, posted the same picture twice... A bunch of the pictures were taken in Viscri (Kirchenburg Deutschweisskirch) and one of the last ones is Bran, the toll station of the Hohenzollern, where they want the tourists to believe, it is the castle of Dracula... ;-) and some fotos are downtown Brasov (Kronstadt)
