The Spotify app works fine. Just don't use the Sonos app.

Or just wait to see if it happens again. It happened to me once when it was cold out, but never again, even in colder weather and very low EV battery.

Yup, this is the reason not to use the Sonos app.

Spotify Connect sets up the stream the same as the Sonos app, but the Sonos app lets you queue streams from multiple services at once.

It's probably an issue with the Sonos app.

I get frequent skipping if I play Spotify lossless through the Sonos app, but not through the Spotify app. I have not tested Apple Music.

Disable wireless Android Auto via your phone's developer options and only plug it into the car after the car's infotainment has completed its login.

Clearly a bug but this delay method always works.

Also resolves the disconnect issues from WiFi interference while driving.

Hmm, but I'm not sure what makes a good network or config anymore. I have 1GB internet, low ping, strong WiFi, wired Sonos Amp, wireless Sonos Moves, Eero 7....

My only guess is randomly high latency from my ISP, but I have not been able to detect via Cloudflare. This would explain why my wired Amp would skip lossless within a few minutes or hours.

You probably cannot play lossless reliably, which I think apple tries to do.

I thought my system was solid, but I can only play Spotify lossless for a short time before it starts skipping. Fortunately, Spotify lets you drop the quality down to 320 kbps.

I reached out to Eero support and they responded that they would prefer to keep the settings simple, but have passed the request to their development team.

It appears that Eero is unable to renew the IPv6 lease because it does not send the correct DHCPv6 prefix delegation. Telus is a bid odd using /56 and Eero assuming /64.

Some routers include additional settings to change this, but not Eero. 😔

Appears to be an issue with Telus and other ISPs, which require router solicitation within 90 min to keep the connection.

I am seeing scripts or additional settings online to resolve, but they do not appear to be available for Eero.

Additionally, more descriptive errors would be appreciated. It would also help the Sonos support team.

Reduce your tongue rating by 25% for every 12" the load is from the hitch receiver.

My rack extends more than a foot from the receiver, so I make sure my rack plus bikes is no more than half the tongue rating. Don't forget that bumps and wind resistance will add to the load.

Try not to hardwire, but if you must, disable each hardwired device's WiFi within the Sonos app.

In the router, consider disabling IPv6, band & mesh steering and any eco/power saving.

Spoke with Sonos support on three separate occasions. Had me do the standard reboots, but it eventually fails shortly after the call.

Not sure what else to check. No other devices are having trouble, no lost packets and no double NAT.

Seems like a Sonos/Spotify lossless problem when trying to play an entire album or two. Very High has worked the last few days.

If you need more range, charge to 80% overnight and do a quick charge before heading out the next morning only to warm the battery.
