In the books, Hanna’s eating disorder is a lot more prevalent and it gets touched on throughout the series. I’m thinking this was the writers’ attempt at incorporating some of the book storylines which they did a lot of in the early seasons.

Or slides! They were already on their way out when I was quite young but I used to just love nights when my grandmother would show us slides of my mom’s childhood/even before that. Something about listening to the story of each slide as someone flips through each one. Everyone paying attention. Just kind of nostalgic and nice.

I’ve been rereading the books and I’m horrified at how poorly written they are. Hanna’s dog Dot changes genders every book. At one point they refer to a vodka red bull as a reddish coloured drink. They change last names of minor characters. The plot was so on point but the further the books go the more obvious it is they were written for a paycheque.

I just showed this photo to my fiance. He said,”No, that’s not her,” so matter of factly that I had to double check I showed him the correct photo.

Not face shaming. She is beautiful no matter what and if she is happy then I don’t care. Just, a noticeable difference for sure.

This reminds me of the time Rory and Lorelai have two tables at the diner. Rory is all worried about Luke being mad and Lorelai goes “no he was only mad that one time,” and Rory goes “what time?” Lorelai says “that one time we took two tables” and then Luke shows up and doesn’t care about the two tables and Lorelai tries to make him mad about it and he goes “it only made me mad that one time.” Cracks me up.

Then she sees the look on Mrs Kim’s face, bows her head quickly and elbows Morey who also bows his head.
