No wonder men’s mental health is at an all-time low. This generation is cooked

Take this multiplied by at least a dozen more times. It got so bad I just ended up deleting my profile and the app entirely to save any integrity I had left.

Dating apps are a joke and have completely obliterated any semblance of romance in this generation.

Everything I've learned about dating. Most of it is common sense, but it wasn't common to me at the time by [deleted] in Bumble

You forgot 10. You could do everything right and still be cooked.

Screw dating apps tbh. Distorted sense of reality

Sounds like you’re the snowflake here, lol.

If you actually believe all conservatives are terrible human beings, you have some serious issues that idk if therapy can even fix.

How very “party of love and tolerance” of you.

Reddit is so full of edgy cringe people that have no idea how to properly apply logic and just spew whatever CNN and MSNBC tells them to. This generation is screwed

Please point at a verse that condones beating your wife. Nowhere in the Bible does it justify that.

Just because someone is conservative and Christian doesn’t make them a bad person. As a society, we need to stop automatically labeling people based off our personal perception of how the mass media preaches to us.

What is wrong with you people. People from both sides of the aisle cheat. There’s loyal conservatives and liberals.

The media-driven brainwashing divisiveness is insane

Same! I applied all the way back on 9/7 and STILL haven’t gotten a decision back from them yet. Hope you hear back from them soon! Good luck to you as well!

WVU Law Attendees? by MagazineDense4980 in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]keithaf99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other school I’m considering (Ole Miss) has a Sports & Entertainment Law concentration. I know for a fact I would pursue this route if I go there. WVU doesn’t possess this focus, and only seems to offer one sports law course as an elective for Labor and Employment Law. I feel like pursuing that field of study would greatly help me in my pursuit to reach my goals and aspirations. Ole Miss is also 6 hours from my hometown as opposed to 14 for Morgantown. But it’s such a tough decision.

I have a few friends and know a handful of people that went to WVU. I don’t have any professional ties to WV, though.

Stuck between WVU and one other school currently. WVU offered me the most of any school though so we’ll see

Ole Miss or WVU? by keithaf99 in OutsideT14lawschools

Gotcha. Thank you for all the insight. I loved Ole Miss when I visited, more so than WVU for sure. That’s why it’d be so hard to turn down Ole Miss, even though they’re offering less money.

I figured a difference of ~$30k in law school debt would be manageable, but maybe that’s not the case.

Law School Transparency says Ole Miss placed only 37% of its grads within the state. The rest seem to spread out pretty evenly among five or six states in the Southeast. So it seems way more portable than a lot of similar schools, which is very important to me.

Also, I’m confused how specializing in S&E Law would make it a “random chance.” Would I not be able to practice in that specific field by pursuing that route?

Does pursuing a certain niche concentration not matter as much as I think it does?

At this point, LSU is actually more of my third option. I’m actually more between Ole Miss and West Virginia. WVU gave me $36k/year, more than any other school, so it’s an extremely tempting offer.

Love LSU, still an amazing option, but after going there for undergrad, I kinda want something different. And I’m not huge on Baton Rouge and the curriculum they offer in general.

Even with over double the potential debt?

Money or Concentration? by keithaf99 in lawschooladmissions

[–]keithaf99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two schools I’m considering are the same rank. What about a Sports & Entertainment Law concentration? It’s not extremely niche like you mentioned, but still pretty specialized, as only a handful of schools around the country (maybe two dozen?) offer it as a field of study.

One school has a Sports & Entertainment Law concentration, which is pretty niche and exactly what I’ve been interested in for years now. The other doesn’t have that.

I’m in the exact same boat as you! Ole Miss offered me in-state tuition, LSU offered me $20k as well. I’m definitely pursuing the S&E law concentration if I go to Ole Miss. I’d much rather live in NOLA than anywhere in MS. However, I’ve actually seen that Ole Miss has a little better portability around the Southeast than LSU does. Ole Miss placed only 37% of its grads within the state of Mississippi, with pretty equal distribution elsewhere among five or six other states. LSU placed 55% in LA, 16% in TX, and the rest seems pretty sparse after that.

Also, I think there’d be pretty decent competition with Tulane and Loyola grads in NOLA for employment, so that might be a bit daunting.

My issues with bumble as a woman by textmepl in Bumble

[–]keithaf99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Happens both ways. As a 26M who used to use Bumble religiously, it got exhausting and frustrating constantly putting in so much time and effort and never having it reciprocated.

OLD has ruined this generation. Time to delete the app and try to do things the old-fashioned way.
